    If I was free and single then I would go for that, £171-£190 plus expenses is ok, but as it is I can make more here, and get to see my family every day.

    That looks painfully slow, I'v seen firewood processed quicker with a chainsaw and axe.

    Sounds like your boiler is a bit over specified, have you considered selling heat to your neighbours or getting a big heated swimming pool?! Dry wood produces more heat, but only because when burning wet wood heat is wasted boiling off the water. If you don't have a chimney to tar up then it doesn't really matter how much water you burn!

    I did struggle a little with the last tachyon I did, but I think I must have caught a cover strand. I almost never use a wire fid on DB, do everything with the toss wand. If you yank on that it just snaps the tether, so gentle finess is the order of the day. Reducing the volume of the core before inserting it is a good idea.

    Ah right, your on the final bury? If the worst comes to the worst, untie your alpine butterfly and milk a bit more cover up towards the eye, might just give you the bit you need to finish the bury, then when its finished you can milk the cover back from the eye to the end of the rope.

    Can be a bit of a pain. Had to resort to the wire fid on my last tachyon.

    Now it's really cold all the red breasts have disappeared and all I can see are blue tits. Perhaps the cold has shrivelled your nuts? Even the really big fat balls can suffer in sub zero temperatures.

    The road tow quad chip is on an Al-Ko chassis to comply with the EU whole vehicle type approval rules. PM Pete, he doesnt always read every post on here.

    Yes its fine, get the whipping redone if you know anyone handy with a needle and thread, but the splice is fine.

    Whenever a new saw comes out some people rush to rubbish it. In general modern saws are so much better to use than their equivalent models from 15-20 years ago.

    I tried the rolling up a £20 note thing once too, it just goes soggy after the first slurp, stupid idea if you ask me.

    Putting off the cheapskates is a good way of eliminating problem clients IMO. I may start borrowing the father in laws Alfa for quoting.
