  1. Glad I wasn't there mark, I would have died laughing. On the bright side at least you didn't land on your groundie.
  2. That's about 2 logs. What do you need all the machinery for?
  3. 1. Is the customer about to brew up, and is it worth waiting for the tea to arrive before gettin up the tree?!
  4. If its piped for a breaker or similar, then yes.
  5. How do you mean to the back? You can put a standard grapple and rotator on an 360 excavator.
  6. 6. Although I did climb 5 large cedars today without so much as unsheathing my handsaw.
  7. Fenland: That would be cool, I think I have seen your trucks around locally.
  8. 1. Lack of oil, usually from clogged pump, either causes overheating, or the links of the chain to kink up. 2. A very worn sprocket.
  9. There are 2 Albee stockists in St Helens, you dont need an account. Approved Stockists - Helium / Balloon Gas - Air Liquide
  10. Big Bolt, where did you get the brash grab from?
  11. As Steve said, google Albee. Half size, 3.5 hours continuous welding on one bottle. If you need more than that buy 2.
  12. Hilti breaker all the way.
  13. 2 wrenches one above the other?! Only one way to find out Gibbon!
  14. Do you mean rescuing a climber who is on the wrench, or rescuing a climber using the wrench? If the former, can't see it making much difference. You could either transfer them to your system or just descend on both fairly easily. The one scenario that might cause problems is bringing two climbers down on one wrench.
  15. Leaving them felled but whole for a few weeks will drag the water out via transpiration. Whether that will actually work in your rainforest environment is another matter.
  16. That is a common way of doing things in some middle eastern countries. Gets around religious difficulties with credit.
  17. Drive it to Tesco and back for the weekly shop? As good a reason as any!
  18. Yes mate. Seems ok, lot cheaper than a BOC account.
  19. I use these. Albee
  20. Is that a winch I spy on the front of the truck?
  21. Whipping is mostly decorative, whip locking includes stitching so it is functional too. Samson instructions are very informative on the subject.
  22. A hedge is only a hedge if it isn't a row of trees.
  23. I asked my TO this question last year, they said anything with a stem big enough to qualify needs a notification, regardless of whether you want to call it tree shrub or hedge. Different TOs may interpret the rules in different ways, but I believe that is the letter of the law.
  24. I meant if they were that size or bigger then you should have notified the local planning authority before removing them.
