  1. Send someone to university, they will come out £20k in debt, that sets the pattern for the rest of their life. Thats why banks are so keen to sign up students.
  2. Iv used small claims, they sent out the notice and I got a cheque by return. Plus around £300 in interest and late payment charges, but then it was 18 months overdue. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. Sugoi 420, its the biggest so clearly the best.
  4. If you tow a tracked chipper with a cabstar, you dont really need 4wd, the chipper should pull the truck out of most places. Used to do it a lot, only got properly stuck once, and had to get a very smug member of the green oval club to come and help.
  5. That letter doesnt apply to this situation. The towing vehicle is capable of towing a 3.5 tonne trailer, the towing vehicle is plated at 3.5 tonne, so combined MAM 7 tonnes = you need a tacho unless using an exemption.
  6. Eco Plugs wouldn't, as they are in the stump, anything you paint or pour on the stump will wash off. Glyphosate and similar chemicals are designed to be absorbed by the leaves, the best way to ensure a kill would be to spray the foliage with the chemical, wait a few weeks until your sure its dead, then remove.
  7. Can't use EcoPlugs near watercourses as far as I know, but you can use Roundup Pro Biactive, used it on riverbanks on County Council Farms land.
  8. Larger than what? I can pay in homemade elderflower champagne if you want?
  9. Totally agree Matty, they are completely different to anything else on the market, I love the auto tune, but it does have to set up. RTFM!
  10. He who lives by the sword will die by the pen. (Or keyboard)
  11. PM sent
  12. I went for the 560 in the end, little beast of a saw, on a par with the 254 imo.
  13. Very nice work, both the carving and the video.
  14. Even if she is, you'll never find her in a shirt that size.....
  15. Might be worth spending the extra on a top notch bar then. Not sure I'd want to do much milling with a 42" on a 660 myself, if you do make sure you use plenty of bar oil and take it slowly, its a big ask for that size of saw.
  16. Rob D has one in stock, a Cannon at £250ish, and no plans to get any others. Heres mine wearing its new bar.
  17. Yes, hardest part is finding the bar, I'v just imported one from Germany, looks pretty solid but havent given it much abuse yet.
  18. International Society of Arboriculture Sounds a bit like QTRA.......
  19. Undo the bolt, reuse original nut. Check its still there before each use, wouldnt worry about torque setting. The non-removable bit is just to distinguish it from the type with a pin rather than a bolt.
  20. Now up on ISA website International Tree Climbing Championship
  21. I have them but can't post it from my iPhone. Jon turnbull came second. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    Heights

A fear of heights is irrational. A fear of falling however is both prudent and evolutionary.
  23. Yes, I still have one. You can stand the gate on the nose every time, but they are perfectly safe when used correctly. Lots of them got failed for it though.
  24. Autotrader on the iPad......
  25. I think you'll find its spelt pernickety.
