  1. I have loads John, where on the machine is it from? They simply unscrew, send me a PM.
  2. Brilliant video, excellent device.
  3. Anyone? It is paid work.
  4. Urgent help required by my friend who needs a climber to set up timing equipment in the tree tops for a future sporting event, tomorrow, Saturday 20th March, is the test session, I was due to help but can no longer make it, If anybody can help please PM myself today/this evening and I can pass on the details. Thanks.
  5. My two 020t's are ten years old or more and still run like Ben Johnson on a Belgian mix, granted, I have rebuilt them/new rings/replaced parts etc but really, there is no other. Yeah Tim it's a split in the rubber I would wager.
  6. Thank you all.
  7. Yeah I called Terry, he said I need to find out exactly what the local authority wants in regard to refresher training, they said they will get back to me tomorrow.
  8. I need refresher training, I did my NPTC qualifications back in 1994 on my little plastic ID card I have CS20, CS21, CS22, Certificate of competence to climb trees and perform aerial rescue and also Certificate of competence in the thorough examination of Arboricultural Equipment. So, what refresher training is normally recognized to be the most appropriate and how much would the cost be? Thanks.

Need a carb Reg? Send me a PM.
  10. Nice pics Alex, a new concrete park has just opened in my local park, trying to pluck up courage to go and have a pump round the bowls, got to make sure it's a school day so there will be no kids to embarrass myself in front of.
  11. Yeah I love Bath, lived there, before children and even spent six months living in a canal boat on that very canal, great place to work but difficult to get out of on a Friday night.
  12. Justin cutting with the monster, trunk on ground, amongst the bush to the right is an electricity box. The canal people stopped and asked for wood but someone is already taking it away but it is the weekend so it will probably all disappear.
  13. After a busy week with my own work it was a pleasure to help Justin with this little fell next to the cut, on the edge of Bath, sunny day, natural crotch rigging, (mostly), Ali dropping a lowered chunk on his 200t, with me now to fix this weekend. big old 120cc Sachs, big audience for the fell, all went well.
  14. My buddy subbed for him a bit, I did a day, hmm, maybe,12 years ago, took a Chestnut down, somewhere in Swindon.
  15. Keith Mills! Blimey that's a name from the past.
  16. Nice one, I like the way you tied the butterfly, very slick, I must practice that.
  17. Thing is the core pulled easily from the cover at the end of the rope but when I tried to pull it out of the cover at point C it just wouldn't budge, well one braid maybe moved 5 inches. Mikey came by to pick it up tonight, good job as I was about to burn the bastard on the fire.
  18. Try pulling the splice back out a little then smooth out, back to the knot then back again toward the eye, as Christian said on the course don't fight the rope! I tried to splice the Marlow Gecko, it's quite an old rope but I couldn't even get the core out, I tried but it just wouldn't budge, so bugger it, I'm not going to stress my self out trying to splice a rope that is that much of a pig.
  19. Nope, got any spare?
  20. Onelab, I will be splicing that Marlow rope tomorrow, I'm not looking forward to it, OK, get yourself some piano wire to make a fid or buy one from Nod, much thinner diameter = much easier. Edit, the other thing you can try, which I had to do on some old XTC a couple of days ago, is not to do the final bury in one go, try to do it in two, this makes for far less friction, also tapering the cover tail slightly more, when you've got the fid through, will also help in the final bury. Dave, the Fly splice is an ugly brute.
  21. It's all good, I may be wrong.
  22. I thought Don Blair made the first sliding D harness and was available from The Sierra Moreno Mercantile Company, at least that was where friends of mine purchased them. I had a GQ, terrible harness, take it outside and shoot it Bob.
  23. Lovely straight piece of timber, not much sap in it this time of year Rupe?
  24. Has somebody been splicing slings for you Reg?
