  1. Treeman tom, that active logo on your truck is exactly like the same named and one of the largest company's in Sydney:sneaky2: http://www.activetreeservices.com.au/Home.aspx
  2. Poplar, Black Italian I think, but maybe not.
  3. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/rigging-roping/15555-nice-pulleys.html
  4. No central anchor at all Stephen, so I treated it as three separate trees, easy though, thanks to the lovely weather and of course my Pantin.
  5. Today's three hour topping fest.
  6. I sent the pulley link to my buddy and he text me back this, " Very cool, looks like a turbo charge Petzl fixed cheek. 1 ton is amazing. Petzl only 440kg. Becket nice, good for a biner but I reckon still be a decent bit of friction on the tyrolean traverse in that pic even with the shaped edges. Very nice, I want one." Always good to have your mates making you feel stupid.
  7. Is a fid length not 21 diameters? 105mm rope diameter?
  8. Ughh! Look at her horrible rounded edges!
  9. Work positioning requirement for 2 'load bearing' anchor points is a good one, does that mean two attachments when using a saw or all the time? Using a saw, well then that's fair enough most of the time but sometimes one attachment is safer in certain situations and I believe it says that in the good climbing practice? Refresher training? I have to do that to satisfy a local authority to be on their approved list, I don't know how much it's going to cost yet but hey, I will jump through those hoops if It means will gain more work from them. Helmets? yes, chainsaw boots? Not always necessary, chainsaw gloves? Waste of time!
  10. Yeah agreed and they look lovely, not that I'm impressed by lovely looking things, that Vikki Blows? What a munter.
  11. Yeah I think I will let you struggle on that one.
  12. 352mm, 8mm with an eye splice on both splice on both ends? Nightmare to splice, it was difficult to splice my 8mm cord and that's 6700mm long.
  13. DMM Pinto Pulleys - Treeworker.co.uk
  14. Kernmantle, so double braid, kind of, maybe a similar splice to the Fly? I agree with Jamie, don't bother, I used to climb on this rope and it's pretty bad stuff, struggles to hold a knot and gets very stiff in a very short time.
  15. Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda - Machines from chainsaws and mowers to arborist supplies. Always The Best Deals Looks like your saw had the old breather in which was like a porous stone, I can see in your picture the little orange rubber valve sticking out, it may be an idea to replace that at the same time, they do not come with the breather kit.
  16. HYPER DOG 4 BALL LAUNCHER - CheapPetProducts.Net
  17. That RC2000 looks pretty cool, I must get one, oh wait, I have one already. I used it recently on a Silver Maple removal, well I didn't the guy on the ground did, anyway, it seemed to work fine from up in the tree, will take a few times to fine tune as with any devices, 19mm double Esterlon for the lower attachment, 14mm for the top, no karabiner and using 14mm liros double braid line, home splices.
  18. I would try another plug to start with even if the existing one is sparking and I would put Mesterh's question to you again, if the compression is fine and it still won't start with another plug then it may be the carb, did they alter the carb settings?
  19. Ah, nothing like the black doctor to keep you going/heal all ills.
  20. Well your chainsaws may be sharp.
  21. I always wonder if anybody ever actually reads them?
  22. The most important thing is to take the on/off switch from the handle first. Then take the rest of the screws out that hold the handle together, it will not ping apart then. Oh and if you need spares send me a PM.
  23. Yeah the bunching really is annoying, you keep a lot of tension on the eye as you do the bury? I have taken to wearing a glove for Tachyon.
  24. Jeez! Question, I have found all but one Tachyon pretty hard to do, do you taper the cover slightly more or do you stick with the 5-4-4-5-4-4-5? Nice work.
