  8. The most important step to taking apart the handle assembly is to take off the on/off switch first before you take out any other screws in the handle!
  9. I understand that removing BT cables yourself is in fact illegal. Just say, as someone on here has pointed out and I have used this one myself once or twice, that a dead branch fell on the wire.

A while ago, maybe last year, I climbed a nice tall Oak in Westonbirt, hanging in the tree was an odd friction saver, green on one side where it had been up in the tree for so long, I cut the rings off and kept them for a future project. Sunday night I spliced the ring onto some Marlow double braid as a present for big dog. He thinks he looks the don!

My Mrs has a laptop that runs Vista and it was unusable when she asked me to have a look at it, (I'm banned from touching it normally, which is why it ended up running so slow) Anyway, I cleared a lot of the start up nonsense off it, stopped it downloading updates about every five seconds and also down loaded this excellent program Glary Utilities | Glarysoft also this smart defrag program Defragment Disk | Smart Defrag | Free&Server Defragmenter Download | Defrag Server 2008/2003/2000 RAID Supported! and ran them, it may help you.
  21. So, they must have paid around a grand or so to try and save the tree with surveys etc?
  22. I use those endless slings exactly like you do Rupe, but without the rigging plate, I just have the sling chokered onto a Big Dan,( Yes I realize this affects the strength) then clipped straight onto the eye of the lowering rope.
  23. I thought it was a Mr Whippy truck pulling in!
  24. Apart from looking at some council work, I have three days free this week I may come up and take some pictures of your butt, ahem, I mean the tree.
