  1. I wonder if it is due to the small diameter of the cord. The bending radius would be more severe, thus placing a greater twisting force on the cordage. Or maybe not
  2. what set-up you using?
  3. Sounds like we need some nice bright arb-talk stickers in the shape of a target to put on top those black lids!!! (hint hint steve ) stickers suitable for helmets of course
  4. The insurance company will at least ask you to provide details of your training and proof of your competance. I'd hate to imagine the complexity of this if you don't have a nationally recognise ticket. Your position to me is selfish, you are not fit to trade imo and your obviously not informing your customers of this
  5. Fun indeed, especially viewing the pics of you being tied to it after too many of us had been shocked
  6. I'll have a quiet word with David Ike, he will be so relieved that your not reptiles
  7. The answered prayer to the god of small mercies i.e. It starts raining when your in the truck on the way home you blunt your saw on the last cut of the job you discover your glass was not half empty but half full the smell of eucalipts after a 200 yard drag, then putting them through the chipper
  8. I guess we will jus have to agree to disagree. I'm not prepared to argue over lesser evils:icon14:
  9. I have on a couple occasions passed self spliced ropes with disclaimers. A splicing course is on my list this year as it's yet another huge hole in my knowledge. Made even more noticable after chating to Nod this weekend
  10. i guess that's an understatement. She, as an individual was an inspirational, getting to the top in a mans world and putting them to shame. Politically she brought the UK to it's knees and within such sectors as primary industry and secondary manufacturing sectors the knock -on effects of her policies have been terminal to them. Her legacy still pains the economy
  11. Chin straps are to be worn in a tree, but not on the ground. With direct vertical impact onto the helmet from above, alot of the energy is disapated by the helmet spilling off the head. A chinstrap could and probably would increase the injury especially to the neck
  12. Me neither. The true reality of the industry becomes apparent all too soon when you go full time. The ease of loosing money is frightening
  13. Just say if you accept the quote THEN I will provide it in writing and any other documentation you require
  14. The only reason she sould be brought back is to burn her at the stake for crimes against the working man

  20. I'll send you a written quote if you want
  21. I'll do all your Kit for a £5 Dave
