  1. So sad, it was very close to my home. Of all the local authorities Kirklees is the most active and responsable in it's tree care. The wind was from an unusual direction and reported gusts of approx 60mph at the time of the accident.
  2. natanoko and no desire to change
  3. Personally I will always test ascenders, and any pulley. They could be used for life support. It is a grey area admitedly, but use of kit may change with change of hands within a company or personal use as climbing methods change or develop. A pantin is an aid, it is not to be used for life support- however if submitted why not.
  4. Such class Dean:drunk: How much lemonade did you mix with that?
  5. I feel impoverished with my pasta-bake and rocket salad Glass or two of a nice chilean cabernet washed it down nicely though
  6. We may all have history we are unsure of lol Please to meet you Dave

  9. Why would you add this to the list? I do not include mine Think of the item in front of you's use- is it used as life-support or rigging in any way? If yes include it.
  10. I do dispair at the creationist theories of christianity, but I do understand man's belief in a god prior to his understanding of the mechanics of the world. Faith providing the security over ignorance
  11. clouds- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clouds Rain- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rain
  12. If the tpo is upheld (you MUST object) and you subsiquently apply to fell the tree (on safety grounds with a report stating such) and they do not grant permission, then under Health and safety legislation they should be informed that they are liable. They are preventing you removing in a proffesionals opinion a hazard tree, therefore a liability
  13. I thought I was blonde! I am suprised he did not manage to get his darwin award which he was obviously working hard at!

  20. More like an exile to the cursed earth, either that or troll world:scared: lol
  21. You have made an important point between belief and the perception of religeous belief put forward by the media and those in a position of power. I will also refrain from an almost identical rant, as i would also be in line for the "long walk" lol
  22. i think you misunderstand what I mean by respectfull. I personally respect peoples religeous beliefs, and am understanding of them, in many ways I admire there faith. However i have no repect for the organisations which choose to manipulate these people, dictating there actions through dogma and dividing people by creating factions and sects. "When dogma enters the brain, all intellectual activity ceases" -- Robert Anton Wilson I just asked for a rational no abusive style of reply
  23. huh? Expand please
  24. I have ended up re-reading "the mists of avalon" by Marion zimmer Bradley Good telling of the aurthurian tales from a diferent perspective, and since i have not read it for over a decade enjoying it imensley
  25. More white socks too?
