  1. No way
  2. Don’t put ideas in their heads
  3. How old is that though and should it be revised for twin ropes
  4. So in theory your second line, or indeed both lines could now be 8-9mm lines? That’s the size line used for rock climbing drt systems?
  5. Dont you need something like 100,000 signatures? Good look getting that!
  6. So glad i'm not climbing anymore!
  7. yep! haha. I'd have snapped it up if my boy was still little
  8. Whatever next. I was just surfing ebay for christmas presents and this popped up ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stihl-Spielfiguren-Waldarbeiter-Helm-Kanister-Motorsage-4-teilig-ab-4-Jahre/163381577584?hash=item260a4d0770:g:ZX0AAOSwW3xcm7Qg
  9. Its a new build, only a year old. The top soil thats been dug out looked pretty decent to be fair. Will probably add some fertiliser to it if needs be though.
  10. Grounds not going to have anywhere near enough moisture to sustain Willow
  11. Great post. Colleges should be less concerned with keeping their pass rates up, and fail more people who clearly have no future in climbing trees. Its usually pretty obvious within 5 minutes of watching someone if they have what it takes.
  12. Yep I quickly discovered that after reading into it more.
  13. Would have to do something about the metal fence if I went that route.
  14. Looks quite nice. Been looking at Ilex crenata also, with a view of training it Niwaki style
  15. Not necessarily. Some color different times of year would be nice, and a bit of height.
  16. I did think about Bay standards, landscaper seems to think they won't thrive though. Anyone know much about Bougainvillea?
  17. Need some advice on what to plant. We are having our block paved driveway widened. I was going to leave a 30cm border between our drive and the neighbours to plant something. I had in mind Rose standards or something similar. Don't need a screen as such, but would like some sort of greenery, and something that doesn't interfere with us opening car doors. Now due to the amount of concrete sloping down from the neighbours side, its making it more difficult to plant something that will actually thrive. Landscaper suggested making the border wider, but that will leave the parking area a little tighter and negate the whole point of doing the job in the first place. Any suggestions what might work here please?
  18. Where are you based
  19. Unless you are an avid sports fine sky tv is just a rip off. we have Netflix, and at Christmas time get amazon prime, but only because I upgrade my amazon account due to ordering a lot of things during December. Rarely use amazon the rest of the year
  20. You need to add your address here https://arbtalk.co.uk/recycling
  21. Yep I’m same, never bothered keeping old chains after a while as I quickly learned they would never be reused again.
  22. @Ruskins Trees
  23. Tree spades — Ruskins Trees WWW.RUSKINS.CO.UK
  24. Yes if you have access for the right sort of machinery. Google tree spade. You can move fully mature trees with the right gear. After care will be more important than ever though
  25. So alternate something like a laurel bush with an alder tree. You’ll get your screen and also some nice trees
