  1. less vibrations and noise, lovely to start. You can put your hand over your head and start it with it mounted on your back its that easy. Mine was for home use, although I did do a few commercial jobs with it. I don't think you'll be disappointed with one. Wish I hadn't sold mine really
  2. I had a Stihl 4 stroke which was basically a Honda rebadged. Good reliable machine, had it for about 12 years and recently sold it on. Depends what you are doing with it though, it doesn't have the speed of a 2 stroke thats for sure.
  3. They’ll probably be your best bet by the sounds of it
  4. No you can't, but some companies will offer an introductory NCB based on that.
  5. Agreed with the above, sounds like someone just being an arse
  6. No idea why the price was but I expect the crane and road closure alone must have been somewhere in the region of 1k add to that 2 climbers, 3 Groundsman, 2 trucks and a chipper and so the maths
  7. Didn't count them Timon, but it was between 30-40 I think. Yep felt it next day!
  8. Yep agree, it was a shame up to a point. However its the client who has to live with the tree, not the neighbours and with it not being TPO'd were well within their rights to do what they did. It was a nice tree I have to say. The neighbouring properties who were directly affected by the trees presence certainly didn't look like pissed off neighbours to me, in fact they watched most of the job being carried out over the course of the day.
  9. I suppose in this case launch just means make known. I agree, it probably could be clearer. Is it worth waiting for? If you're a battery fan, and have a need of a ground saw in this power band then i'd say yes.
  10. Those were josh’s cuts, and yes you are pretty much spot on
  11. pre launch to get interest. Look on the bright side, if you went and purchased a lesser saw without knowing this one was coming you'd be annoyed come October!
  12. These last 2 lumps were 6.5t between them alone
  13. Short video clip of a crane removal I tag teamed last week. Josh Rooker wearing the helmet cam. I was somewhere on the ground 'resting/dying' between climbs
  14. Timberwolf celebrated a double win at The EADT Suffolk Business Awards on Thursday 4thJuly, taking home the ‘Large Business’ and ‘Business of the Year’ awards. The EADT Suffolk Business Awards, supported by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and EDF Energy, celebrate the very best businesses and entrepreneurs in the county. This year over 250 entries were received across the ten categories, with only four making it through to the final list. Timberwolf were selected as a finalist for the Large Business category following a demanding judging process. Criteria for the ‘Large Business’ category was an established business in any sector which could demonstrate all-round strength; business growth in sales and profitability, a commitment to staff development and well-being, a high level of customer care and strong corporate social responsibility. Fellow finalists were from the construction, health and printed media sectors. Timberwolf impressed the judges and were selected as winners of the ‘Large Business’ Award. In addition Timberwolf was then chosen as the winners of the top award of the evening – ‘Business of the Year’. With the ‘Business of the Year’ award, Timberwolf has been recognised as an ambassador for the Suffolk business region, leading the way in customer service, business strategy, career development and social responsibility.
  15. Not much point getting an avant in for a job unless the timber is coming away in large pieces IMO
