Agreed. When you look at what the modern film and music industry has become where violence, revenge and materialism are so glamourised it’s no wonder that these ‘values’ have taken root in society especially among the young and impressionable.
It will take more than a few youth clubs to unravel the violence gang culture in inner cities.
Should I be reassured when I read books like ‘The better angels of our nature’ ? Somehow I don’t think so.

Aye, but it's not just a case of 'Youth Clubs'.  It's about intervention before people become menaces.  There is no money any more for that.  Regardless of gang culture, the simple fact of the matter is that we're failing the next generation.  Howay Ti, you've been on the other side of the fence, how many people do you know who would have benefitted from an adequate support netwok?

What on Earth are Hamas doing sending kids into that kind of environment? They know what is going to happen. It’s a tried and trusted Hamas tactic putting kids in harms way.
Would you have let your kids go and play in the Brixton or Toxteth riots?

Meanwhile in Arif Syria, the world turns another blind eye to a much worse atrocity. Up to 500 Kurdish civilians massacred by Erdogans troops.

Mark, I don’t agree with everything Israel do but they’re always painted as the villains of the piece when in reality there are much more sinister forces at work.

You're bang on the money that the Kurds are getting shafted again.
