Don't fall for that mawkish nonsense in that post.

It's cynical use of tragedy.

Sorry i was just looking up mawkish.

Ok we couldnt disagree more but opinions will differ in interpreting literature so i ll just say i find it alarming that our emergency services are in such a dire way.

its sh1t what some people have to deal with in certain jobs, but you have to draw a harsh line, if you join the fire service you must be prepared for this sort of thing, can't rescue kittens out of trees every day, your a fire man so fight fires. Real question is why building control passed non fire retardant materials on the building, sure as sh1t the little man wouldn't get away with it so why did the big firm?

All I'm saying is that they did their job, well done. It's what they joined up and have been trained to to do.

I'm not being disparaging about them, I'm being disparaging about that anonymous post jumping on the fire for political purchase about fire fighters pensions, retirement age etc.

For shame.

TFFT!

I didn't want to be first...

What a whining princess!

If only it really was "the words" of a foot soldier rather than a political spin from a £100k union dweeb.

Dry your eyes buttercup. That's your 'king job.
