This argument always makes me laugh. Under international laws and UK laws, as a country we have to assess and process asylum seekers, there is no such thing as an illegal asylum seeker. The way they enter the country might be illegal but that does not make their status illegal. Just to re-iterate the Tory success of the last 14 years is a very profitable small boat sales business in Calais.

1 million legal migrants, 0.07 million asylum seekers in the last year. Where is the migration problem? The government sanctioned or those fleeing their home countries to avoid being killed or persecuted,.

I don't suppose I have to remind you that to claim asylum you need more than "I just fancied living in the UK" as a reason and that actual "I was going to be killed for my beliefs" might be beneficial.

And we keep the asylum seekers in poverty, pocket money only, no right to work, hotel living, crammed together, nothing to do all day, and then wonder why they are getting a bit stressy. Why not substitute them into the legal migration quota, let them do jobs and work, earn a living, reduce the burden on the tax payer and give them back some hope? But of humanity. Reduce the legal migrant numbers. If they fail their asylum claims, off they go, home quick sharp, if they are accepted then all is good...and they can save up to go home when conditions in their own countries improve. Just a thought.

And there lies the inconvenient truth. Normally overlooked.

I'll stand to be corrected on this, if anyone fancies digging some numbers out, but I'd hazard a guess that the old vast majority ve of Those Muslims in the UK, doing all the crime, peterfiling and benefit grabbing are actually second or third generation. Their parents and grandparents having entered the country legally, and probably even been invited by the Great British Government. Just my hunch though, I'd be interested to see some figures if anyone can be bothered.

no nationality/race outperforms the Chinese, but they work too hard.

I agree they are as a nation hard working, apparently the early Chinese immigrants to Hawaii did very well in their business ventures due to their willingness to work all hours. However, when you look at US tech the Indians are keeping up with the Chinese, in terms of number of them with CEO roles

The Asian Americans called upon to run the world's largest companies generally haven’t disappointed.

if we are talking about committing an offence, lets start with your rasict propaganda online and inciting hate and riots

you started getting personal on here, so dont spit your dummy out when you get it back

Please show me where I’ve posted racist rants or incited anyone to riot, no BS or opinions just facts. I think you will find there is one person who thought it funny to ridicule someone’s name repeatedly. Anyway I’m offended and distressed at your comments about what you are gonna do to my wife, you crossed a line. Police Scotland don’t approve of online

threats, be it what you are or aren’t gonna do to a persons wife or what you fantasise about in regarding knives, pretty bad timing for the latter I’d say.  😞

anyone got some new news? cos this topic is getting more than a bit stale now

OK

Most of the asylum seekers leave Norway because it's cold, boring and the cigarettes are very expensive.

Instead they go to Sweden because it's easier.

Happy to post some links if anyone is interested?

The figures are bonkers.

2021 800

2022 12,000

Why on earth are we granting asylum to a decent percentage of them? It's not a war torn country.
