3million divided into 14, wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy a few houses ?.

I know what you mean but I don't think the council should be buying anything.

Surely if travellers want a permanent site they have to buy something suitable themselves and apply for Planning Permission, or get on the Social Housing List like the rest of the community.

I'd like a log cabin in the woods.

Which form do I submit in order to get the Council to buy a woodland of my choosing, install access and amenities, and sort all the permissions it needs...

That unfortunately wouldn't change anything apart from our workload.

So be it. What price do you put on your integrity? Let the pragmatists at it. They'll eat each other eventually.

Well when you put it like that, my integrity is apparently priced at 1 weeks income! In my defence though I don't see it being quite so black and white. If I passed on every job I disagreed with for some reason I'd work a lot less.

Incidentally we've been several weeks so far doing a roadside butchery job which I'm far from proud of either.

I don't think they should either, my local council tried something similar a while back. It's something from central government that requires them to do it.

Whilst at the same time they'll just buy a plot of land before a bank holiday, tarmac it to the hills and then waste millions in court.

I'm not sure about the validity of that trial, growing up in the 90s and the amounts of drugs used by drinkers and party animals back then didn't seem to have much of an impact on the lack of drinking.

Maybe all that drinking on the park was a positive thing, compared to the yoof afterwards?.

at least we are out of it, but it of cause there will be some reason from some why we would of been better involved in the corrupt gravy train 🤦‍♂️

Where are you roughly? I've had recent exposure to the postcode lottery of healthcare in this shithole. Interested to see whether your experiences fit in my model.

Up North, North west to be precise :)

It seems like it all comes down to you local surgery. I live less than 10 miles from my old place, big difference in health care. From what I understand your GP/surgery can negotiate costs with private health care hospitals. If they get a good deal you can find yourself in a luxury room private hospital rather than on a ward with 10 other people. My Mrs has a far better understanding as she has in the past dealt with GP costs but she says its an extremely complicated system, a lot of it is ran like a business these days.

Council estate where everyone is in the doctors every five minutes sucks up all the funds, wealthy area where most use private healthcare means there are more funds and availability.

Having said that our dentist is total sheet but since it seems that you cant get a dentist without paying privately its not like I have much choice in that matter.
