How was your day?

Been doin a middling sort of sycamore for a couple who I do the church lawns for, though the tree in question was in their own back garden..

I don't suppose it infused them with much confidence when I explained it was only my third tree I'd done using proper climbing tackle...LOL...

The job seemed to go well until the fella insisted I rope up a branch were he advised it'd be best to avoid hitting his shed, wasn't to sure myself, and after cutting through it it crashed down onto his shed, luckily no damage...

In future I'll be doin the tying off were it suits me...

Other than that, been a great day, stopping and starting having a brew up and putting the world to rights with the couple from the church... back tomorrow to tidy up...

Had a morning tidying up the workshop and a strange thing has happened, i noticed that April has been removed from the stihl calander,we have March then May, i'm sure it was there earlier in the week.

I wonder which one of the little tinkers has taken it.

Shame, she's nice and even after April has gon may be allowed to grace the wall along side a few from last year ;-)

Lot of talk about the battery toppers these days, Filthy Socks amongst others is a big fan.

So let's have a go then!

Playing with it out the back it hasn't the torque in bigger wood of the 201/540

Looking forward to a few reductions so I'll report back, if anyone has usage tips I'd be grateful.

Watching with interest and keen to know how it compares with the Filthy Socks Stihl. It would be a handy little gadget to keep behind the seat of the truck to give the timber trailer the odd haircut.:thumbup1:

My day improved when my niece`s came to stay.

Unkill wobbit can you pump up my tyre ?

I got the ground saw version as a chipper saw as take no time to switch on to trim of a awkward branch but recently have had it in the tractor cab while forwarding to trim off odd missed branch or loose a low branch in my way as it's realy light, takes up very little room and won't stink out the cab with fuel fumes to give me a headache, stealth saw all the way for us these days

Used the little electric husky today, started a takedown with it the all of a sudden it stopped.

Little flashing red light, peed me of a bit, so picked up the 201 and finished it.

Sat down at lunch and realised that the chainbrake was on! At least I didn't take it back to the shop.
