I think the ‘watch and brief’ part may mean an awareness of nesting birds, which may stop the job.

Thats the one Mick, one tree with a dead kite in it has to stay there until defra advise otherwise.

I'm hoping the cold snap will hold em off another week.

Had a hedge reduction on Tuesday, pigeon sitting on eggs.

Friday past, partial dismantle of a decent sized Ash with Dieback. It wasn't too badly affected but the customer was being proactive (that's unusual). They wanted to retain some of it if possible so we took it down to a point it'll fell when the time comes without reaching any targets. Tom climbing, me rigging and foreman Al cutting/chipping, all arisings left on site. Lovely job.

One for Don today.

Oak with a fair back lean slotted through some double gates.

A bit of back weight off, raised, then wedged/GRCS’d over.

Ringed and tidied by 3pm courtesy of 5t Kubota with Intermacato grab.

Not sure if this will work but, if so, one of the many spruce trees we took down during the 2021 lockdown

Target area was quite small (ie between house and other trees - so we erred on the side of caution and aimed for the ash with dieback.
