Mitre saw and stand. Only a cheap one, but meets my needs. Also some lego technic and some sorting/storage trays to keep my ever growing collection in.

Phone call on Friday  off an old friend of 51 years, ex RN clearance diver,  telling me that after chemo and radio therapy, that he's now in remission from lung cancer. We had a good natter and raising of glasses.

I had cancelled my Christmas as I was due to have an op a few days ago.

Then the nurses went on strike so I reinstated Christmas and had family round for lunch.

Ginormous turkey and all the trimmings and we were all stuffed!

4 generations of the family sat around the table, that was my best present and I hope we are all here again in a years time. :)

No clue yet as I haven't had a chance to open them. Two kids up at 0530 then preparing and cooking a silly about of food for Christmas dinner.

I'm guessing that there's a McMurty with a big red bow tied around it with my name on a set of keys sitting on the driveway.

Socks are always a great gift in my book.

And now I realise I am a plonker as this was last year.  Anyway, socks are always good.
