French make terrible tea, but nearly always good coffee.
It’s a given.

The kitchen cleanliness factor is always something I check for......

I always chuckle when the guys ask me why I didn’t take the customer up on their offer of a brew.

Until a fortnight ago we lived 20 mins drive from Gatwick: the silence last March was deafening and has barely changed since - wonderful.

On the subject of contrails and as a slight aside... I may have the exact numbers wrong but I read that when all flying was banned over the States after 9/11 the average day/night temperature difference increased by 4C.  That's massive in a such a short time.

I remember something along those lines. Not sure the UK has managed a 4c rise haha

Not many positives for my family, wife and I both doctors so have worked more hours this year than the bothy cat !
Garden looks good, cut loads of firewood, built a summer house but really miss family and friends.

Haven’t played much golf in the last year and miss my mates.

Honestly cannot see how there have been any positives from this, NHS wrecked, economy wrecked, kids education wrecked it’s a bloody disaster.
Sorry not to be 100%positive but there it is.

Like most, I really miss the interaction with others and find WFH hard to be as productive.  3 young kids makes for a noisy house to be working in!  However it's great spending much more time with them, that is special.

Wood wise WFH means I've burnt more, I'll probably use a couple of cube more, but I made 2 more local tree surgeon contacts in lockdown #1 and got waaaaaay more wood dropped off than usual.  I'm expecting another couple of truck loads of Oak next week and that will bring my total for the year to about 25 cube, this winter AND next covered off!  With no commuting I've had the time to cut and split most of it too.
