Does anyone know is grass still sold in ounces, quarters, eighths etc?

Used to be able to exchange a joint for a kiss and a cuddle and maybe more in the good old days PM (pre marriage!)

Not sure what an eighth of a consummation means in practice though

..... Along with Werner von Braun, who did much to push forward the nuclear weapon program....... Who then worked for the US state ?  K

Were he not the father of the US space programme he would have been tried as a war criminal for the slave labour used in his project

I think by war's end the german nuclear effort lagged severely behind.

It was a Hungarian, Szilard, that was the instigator of the atomic bomb but it was his persuading Einstein to make a direct approach to Roosevelt that got the Manhatten project going and Truman's right wing bigotry that led to the Windscale disaster.

Oz or grams? I really don't know, it's been a long time! Oz apparently. I'm guessing the auld hippies still want to buy and sell in ounces and the young fellers in grams.

Went to the motor factor today for filters. Put my mask on, went to counter, asked the guy "Do you require a a mask?" He looked at me funny and replied "Do -you- (italics) require a mask?" I replied "No." So he kind of made a shrugging type gesture and said "Well then..." So I said "Good" and removed my mask and started ordering up my bits and pieces. At least four other guys came in after me while I was stood there, none were wearing masks.

Had my first ‘brush’ with the face coving police today.

Shop assistance - have you got a face mask?

Me - no

Would you like me to get you one.
No thank you.
It’s COMPULSORY that you wear one!

Are you aware of the exemptions?

Trounches off (shop worker not me ?)

Arrive at till. Observe and abide by floor marking exclusion zones whilst observing dear old lady at next til leaning on counter, ignoring distance markings but dutifully wearing a nugatory face covering.

When did people actually become so gullible and compliant, slavishly adhering to the latest strap line and completely abdicating responsibility for personal thought and action?

Next stop was the bank.

Watched in awe as the hairy assed builder extracted a grubby paper mask from his filthy, mud, shite, cement (and probably, knowing Cornwall) asbestos caked pocket of his shorts and put it on his face. That’s the ticket chopper - that’s so much better....

Went in TK max on the weekend, nice orderly queue with masks and distancing on the way in. ‘Security’ person with a clicker keeping count. Store was only allowed 91 people at a time. Once inside not one person had the slightest awareness of personal space, let alone social distances. Most people were wearing their masks half way down their faces. Utterly pointless..

In America... statistically you have a 99.8% chance of full recovery if you catch Covid....

Yet, schools stay shut. The Governor of California says that they won’t open until things change... (!?). California has had zero child deaths and just one teenage death. Which begs the question.. what has to change??

You can’t

Go to school...

Open for business

Meet family

Go to church etc...

But You can

Go to the casino

Protest march

Riot

Burn businesses

Burn bibles and churches.

If your a doctor and what you have experienced makes you want to step away from the current alarmist, fear-mongering, control narrative to speak out- then prepare to be de-platformed.

I don’t have much of an axe to grind about face coverings.... if they help, then great....but it’s all the political agendas and control issues that get my back up..
