Cyclists everywhere today all over the road lane discipline non existent. As for horses had a bucketful lately first it was the local caravan dwellers stallions out on the road at five in the morning. Northants finest attended and told me they'd put them back can't count unfortunately as there were 3 out not 2. Third one smashed our fence down and got into back hay meadow. Absolutely wild and dangerous said caravan dwellers turned up and was a hoot as they tried to catch the thing which they did but not without it giving one of them a hell of a kick, just about managed to keep a straight face.
Three days later the finest are back enquiring about stolen horses in field at back run by horse welfare outfit. Legal owner turns up to collect them next thing is ambulances, fire engines and police cars tearing down track at side of our paddock. Said stolen horses objected to going back and laid out two of owners.
Just don't get me started on the local hunt they're in a league of their own.

Been extracting timer this week and what i have seen is beyond belief, hundreds and i mean hundreds of cyclists going past our hard standing stacking area next to a B road, its been a all day thing every day but afternoons have been very busy, most was in couples but there was some groups may be up to 12-15 and one group about 40ish all riding side by side, its not good practice given the present situation, then at the top of the woodland we are working on is a public footpath and thats been packed out all week with walkers and today i have been to change a wheel on a trailer and with in a 6 mile drive probably came across 40-50 cyclists ( or road lice as i call em) hogging the road and every lay by or where you could park a car there was one in it, my thoughts are just let them get on with it and let them do what they are doing but it will be the likes of me who will be laughing, dont go near any one and not worked with any one since all this shit started, and horses dont get me going about them, most are ok but some are total arseholes,

Near us people are parking in passing bays on single track roads to go for walks. Absolutely no consideration for large vehicles or other people trying to use these roads.

I had a small gathering today at work four adults with half dozen kids in tow complete with scooters bikes etc  Thought it was ok to wander into the park of a private estate and set up a picnic complete with disposable BBQS.  Sheep with young lambs everywhere and they genuinely got the hump when I turned up on the quad asking what they think they were doing. Politely asked them the fuck off and take there litter with them ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️. Let alone all the other twats who think it’s there god given right to walk wherever they want at the moment. Really starting to piss me off ( rant over ) feel better now.

I didn't know bism was a real word as I have never heard anyone other than my mother say it. (usually referring to one of her children)

Ditto!, as in "ye wee bism"

I now need to investigate the etymology o it!

I kin only presume it is a corruption of "besom", see link;

(I'll preface this by saying I don't see the point in horses, I don't like horses but I'm sure they taste nice)

Two awfully nice ladies, straddling a pair of lasagne fillers swore at me the other day because I had the sheer impudence to be driving through a village in my car at 25mph on my way to a meeting. I came around a corner, they were just around it. I stopped well clear of their horses and got an earful as a result.

Can anyone tell me how parading these pointless money pits along country lanes constitutes human exercise? I don't want to see a horse unless it's dragging a log!!

Try a motorcycle. The looks I get from horse riders just for existing.

I'm taxed, insured, MOT-ed and road legal. It's not the nineteenth century anymore and horses do not have right of way. If the stupid animal can't handle the sight of a bike they've no business taking it onto the public highway in the first place.

I emphatically agree. There is no place for horses on 21st century roads.

The arrogance is quite staggering sometimes. Last year, I had the distinct displeasure of having to follow a mounted hunt for over a mile down a lane to get to site. Having lived in Scotland for 13 years, seeing a mounted hunt is quite a culture shock, and they made no effort to make way for the line of traffic that had accumulated behind them. Horseback, costumed toffs with bloodlust are a demographic I have precisely no time for.
