But looking for wedges whats recommended/Favourite Flavours etc And places to get

Found many on flea bay trying to steer more clear of Chinese ones so Oregon's ruled out(check labelling made in China)

found some of those yellow ones with orange heads

Stihl orange plastic ones available in different sizes and a pretty good.

The K&H wedges that @RobD sells at chainsawbars.co.uk are excellent.

Great range of sizes as well.

 

I have a couple of old steel faithfuls that I bought years ago from a local agri place that still get a good battering now and again, especially for splitting rings after boring.

Second for k and h. Have a few now for years. avoid ama ones, they're shite. Stihl are decent too but more expensive.

Actually, avoid anything ama and you wont go far wrong!

K&H are good I prefer them to the stihl plastic ones but you’ll struggle to beat the stihl hi lifts

Same here for the K+H from Rod D .  I seem to remember I got mine as a special off together with something else I bought .

I think cheap wedges (Oregon) are made from ABS, more expensive (Stihl) will say made from polyamide. It's slightly softer but doesn't go brittle when cold, I found lumps cracking off the Oregon ones. Now have a couple of K&H which are fine too.

Then it depends how much wedging you do, much back lean and it's handy to have a Stihl hi-lift or two.

Oregon yellow plastic are absolute shite , I’ve been stupid enough to buy 3 now and they have all shattered in to bits.. complete waste of money.

I have a combination of Husky, Stihl and Oregon kicking about, all plastic. Love the wee Husky one for longevity. The medium sized Stihl ones are decent enough, and the Stihl highlights are just mega. 
 

Someone I follow on Instagram was using these recently, and they looked decent but I haven’t use them personally. I will be ordering some at some point though, they do three sizes.
