I’m sure this thread started out about SawPods, I’ll tell you an honest and on thread reply. As said, £20 is worth it, they last a few years, you instinctively know where your saw is, quick draw and return, the “Pod” certainly helped me become more efficient and organised as a climber, love them [emoji106]

I think it's a bit like the HAAS, you can find bits of elastic and straps and an ascender to make your own or just buy the HAAS and go climbing. It works straight away, they've done the development for you.

Likewise you could cut out neoprene and find velcro straps and make your own but I would rather spend the time climbing and make the £20 back that way.

So I'm a sawpod user too.

I find the sawpod a vast improvement compared to hanging off your harness. It doesn’t get tangled in your saw lanyard or much else. It’s always where it is so you don’t have to faff about it finding it or trying to put it away when your in an awkward spot which tbh Is the only time I used one. My only gripe is that my lanyard or rope can get stuck underneath the bottom of the sheaf but this is outweighed by everything else.

But to be perfectly honest since my addiction for the 150’s I never really climb with one, they are just lowered silkys and ashamed to say I cut and hold to much

Wow, first it was a post about repositioning of cutting tools, which then descended into cutting remarks about folk who like to reposition their tools into different positions only enjoyed by a certain ‘few’ .
