Let it go Dave.

2/3 days without hydraulic help (log stacking  is a time eater) lot of technical rigging but nothing too tricky.

1.5 to 2K folding.

I'll see you do that for me for 2 and I will charge them 3. Beer is on me. K

The deciding factor is ‘logs put into garage’.
Rings or ready to burn?
That tree is bigger than it looks.
Huck, you’ve been doing this a long time, but a two man team is shit on big takedowns.
It held me back for years.
Yeah, they're not being split or stacked, just chucked in there's, and it's the garage right there .

Mark, the big Sycamore in my pic's took 3 steady days for me and my son. He had busy mornings on the first two days chipping awful smashed up brash (tree was 90% dead) and chucking logs into the trailer, then very easy afternoons just taking strops of the big timber after I had craned it into the trailer. The final day was very easy for him, just taking off strops and the blowing the drive.

An extra man would have had nothing to do much of the time.

I see that as climber and two groundy`s for a day to deal with the takedown. One groundy on the end of the rope and the other cutting/stacking/chipping. Second day two groundy`s to deal with the stumps and tidy up, irrespective of leaving chip and chogs on site there will be at least a couple of one ton builders bags of crap to remove from site from the grindings and rake up. Fair chance the fence panel behind the stump will cop it while grinding or if you try and remove it, allow a bit of buggerance for this.

£1,750 as long as Mrs Miggins is eye candy and good with the kettle  or £2000 if she`s a miserable pig in knickers.

No wonder folks are terrified of tree quotes..

That tree looks like a days work for two people, maybe another days worth tiding up and raking up...  two man first day, one man second..

I suppose it depends on if your pulled out and need to get to the next job..  obviously then it'd be better to get more hands on the job...

looking at that garage and measuring that against the tree, it don't look as big as it seems..   going off some prices anyone would think it was a giant sequoia..

My view is there is always something to do..

Rake, Sharpen saws, etc.. etc..

With   only 2 men  the climber often ends up waiting for the ground to be clear. And the clear up takes longer.. Why would you pay climber rates to rake up...

...But skyhuck's big kit slow and steady method has a huge advantage... Not have employees who cause huge headaches..

When I was contracting, pre-2005, I was charging £950.00 +VAT per day for a three man team, £450.00 + VAT per day for a two man team. North West based.

You charged an extra £500 for an extra groundie..?
