Two dead and suspect fatally shot by police after suspected terror attack at synagogue in Manchester APPLE.NEWS ITV Granada Reports Correspondent Ann O'Connor reporting from the scene in Manchester Tragic but all too familiar. The police at the Liverpool incident were at pains to point out it was a white male. Be interesting to see how this pans out.

The same Fish that said working with trees was the worst job?

Looks like the bottom took a bash a few years back and has developed adventitious rooots as a reaction to the loss. As there is a building that may be hit if it falls I wouldn't worry about taking it down. At 40 it is hardly mature. Cedars are lovely trees but they need a very big space to develop to maturity. One was planted to the front of our church in the 1880s, it was lovely in pictures from 1930 but by the time I was working it had taken over the frontage and ruined that aspect of the church. My suggestion to fell it was met with horror by the PCC. Luckily a few years ago a "tree surgeon" said he had detected a hollow some feet up, he was wrong but a local firm did a good crane take down and the church looks so much better for it.

They're pretty simple machines. Mine jammed up the other day when a fork went through it but the overrun clutch on the PTO shaft saved the day. The product is fiddly to burn but you can really fill a stove up and it goes for a long time. It gets choked up on brash but it's a decent way of reducing bulk if you don't have a chipper

Had a great vat of curry for old folk and sister last night, good catch up and question old folk on things of the past but Mum's dementia mean she can be pretty rude about stuff from the past - "his father was a dirty old groper, always grabbing girls arses and he was a noise in the Weslean Chapel too!"....... Going to aTaunton for something to do and possibly another walk along Charmouth later. Found a huge seam of Copralites along the beach - 95 million year old Dino pooh! Be good at work and get ready for the storm! Art, Hitch, Oak.

Took the words right from my keyboard. Kram, on a serious note. The course will teach you something but it is of course a paper exercise for the employers etc. You will get as much out of it as you can if you go in there open minded and don’t try and tell the instructor he is doing it wrong or you know a better way to do it. There are many ways to skin a cat as the saying goes. But if your on a cat skinning course then listen to what the instructor is trying to tell you.

Tried a pair of these on in store felt pretty good. Can anyone vouch for their long term comfort, any good with spikes? Any good for hiking as well- I know they’re stiff and a bit heavy Cheers

A nice bag of ArbSurplus rope ends, most appear to be around 5m. Pair of saw lanyards, decent quality, made in UK.

Cheers for them answers. I hadn't thought about roadsise to be honest Mark, I might get away with that in spring when tree work's quiet. Thanks for the tip about Chainsaw Bars UK too, I get most of my milling kit that way but since Brexit I pay big import duties on it. He's got a load of Manpa stuff too I've seen which might be useful. I would probably be able to justify the expense if I knew I could sell some work off the back of it. Carving more would be a good start. Cheers again for your help, I probably will give you a shout Mark next time I'm over visiting.

Reading through your notes, looks like you’ve created a successful, varied and enjoyable business. Andrew

The Norfolk Arborist has gone from strength to strength since its formation in 2017, providing expert residential and commercial tree maintenance services throughout East Anglia. On the journey alongside owner Michael Lomax since day one is an FSI B22, which continues to handle every stump removal job with effective, reliable results week in, week out. With a large portfolio of domestic clients and commercial contracts including the Ministry of Defence and several large landowners throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Northamptonshire, no two weeks are ever the same for Michael and his team. One thing the team can always rely on is the performance of their FSI B22, which has been their go-to solution for stump removal in restricted-access, residential settings for the last eight years. “It’s incredibly versatile and easy to use, making it a popular choice with the team” Michael explains. “Being self-propelled means we can send one van, equipped with a chipper and the FSI B22 stump grinder, and the team will have everything they need to get the job done. We must have clocked up close to 1000 hours with this machine and, with the exception of the regular wear and tear replacements, we’ve had next to no issues.” He emphasises, “The reliability of this machine has been extraordinary. We must have made our money back on it ten-fold over the years!” The robust performance of FSI is not limited to the smaller jobs however. For larger domestic and commercial projects Michael turns to his local FSI Partner Stag Machinery, where he readily hires the powerful yet highly manoeuvrable FSI D30. “There’s not a lot the FSI D30 can’t do! We can tackle up to 120 two-foot stumps in a day, making it very productive and highly efficient. Not only that but the lighter footprint of this machine compared to others in this category means we can still transport the unit over residential lawns, patios and other sensitive areas if needed without risk of causing damage.” Like many, Michael not only values the reliable performance of his equipment, but the back-up support and service received from their local FSI dealer. “Will at Stag has been brilliant, delivering a personal service and a quick response if we need anything. We like the fact the depot is local, and the ability to hire the FSI D30 as and when we need it means we can run our business and service the various needs of our clients, without the headache of managing and maintaining a really large fleet of our own.”

I don't dream of using tech stuff, nor do I use tools, machines, drive, sail, fish, hunt, etc etc I used statins for the first time 15 or so years ago and I had awful dreams and nightmares (and a few other side effects) until I changed them for the second time.
