  3. Good vid kind of reassuring, I suppose im abit paranoid. Another issue is I found modern treated wood seems less durable versus untreated larch or oak etc in the ground. New treated fence posts can last less than 5yrs....
  4. After a busy couple of months, found some time to shoot some footage, and edit. Its sleepy time. #Dullasditchwater
  5. I bought this but never have got round to used it yet just used a file free hand Veritas Jointer & Edger | Axminster Tools WWW.AXMINSTERTOOLS.COM Serving the dual purposes of topping off the teeth of a hand saw prior to re-sharpening, and providing an accurate guide... Ive done this several times seems to work ok.
  6. I had an easier load than that the other morning. At least the appropriate lorry came to us!
  7. Just for clarity is this the definition of “ on the hook” you are on about ? 😂😂feels like this is going down the lines of a trans woman is a woman route. Am I brave enough to open a poll 😂😂😂😂😂Do whatever you need to do 42 if it makes you feel more fulfilled. Your team mate SP mentioned a poll a while back, is this the fearsome weapon to beat all others. Would I not have to give a **************** for that to count 🤔 Why would I forget anything 🤷‍♂️one thing I do know is posting up all the time with a bunch of like minded head nodders would get very boring very quickly. I don’t really class myself as a veteran but you get the idea eh 👍👍 Just an afterthought 42 I’d never really given it any thought but if coming onto an online forum ( anonymously if you desire) in your opinion requires a level of bravery then it’s no surprise we don’t look at life through the same lens.

  11. You may be able to press out the upper feed roller shaft but probably wont. Cut it off at the roller, bore out the shaft then wash the remainder out with a gas torch.Or buy a new roller and shaft. Tie the lower roller shaft up to support it ,remove the gearbox, remove the plate under the roller, unbolt the bearing from the side of the feed aperature, lower the roller and shaft down. When you reinstall make sure you index the roller teeth ,point to valley or you will trash your rollers.

    Edelrid Cupid

I wonder if we could steer conversation away from anarchist tapeworms briefly and back towards openable rings. The steel edelrid cupid has an external diameter of 70mm. Does anyone know of an openable steel ring that is smaller? I'm trying to cobble together an adjustable cambium saver with all replaceable bits, using bought sewn or spliced eyes or closed loops. In the style of this: The Petzl Ring Open is smaller I think, but aluminium. Which I'd cope with, but I'd prefer steel. Any ideas?

  15. Tried that. Tried log length logs. Tried a few things, but all that come up is websites leading to Split logs 🙁. It's annoying.
  16. MOTHER: Attention. Engines will overload in three minutes, twenty seconds. Attention. Engines will overload In three minutes. RIPLEY: Mother, I've turned all the cooling units back on. MOTHER: Installing updates 3 of 10, time remaining 35 minutes. The core has begun to melt. Engines will overload in two minutes, thirty-five seconds.
  17. A quick calc would have it at 1.552 0z per litre which might make it a concentration of 3.72% per litre, which means if you want to treat milled lumber to prevent milled lumber from insect attack, bacterial or fungal infections it's fecking really cheap If you are a legit business with a reason for using it as in preserving milled lumber or dozens of other uses, this is where I bought my last batch.. although back then it was £47 per 25kg, hundreds of times cheaper than diy store watered down pish, imo. Borax Powder Cleaner 25kgs - Multi Functional Product WWW.RYEOIL.CO.UK Rye oil is proud to present, 25KG of pure lab grade Borax Powder (Sodium Tetraborate Decahydrate) for your multipurpose needs.
  18. I flipping love goat willow. So versatile. Left alone for long enough they can grow into a pretty sturdy single-stem tree, you get straight-enough poles for the garden from coppice, it thickens up quick enough for a rotation of easy to process firewood, the skinny stuff chips so easily in summer for a high-nitrogen woodchip mulch that rots away into the soil in no time... ...and on top of all that they are a great provider of early season forage for pollinators, and the cracks left in twisted and half-broken stems can make a brilliant habitat for bats.
  19. I had to look up what "on the change" meant, that's a handy expression to have tucked away!
  20. I live in Houston area and about 3 mo the ago I bought and planted 4 12’ Italian cypress trees to replace 2 30’ ones that died in front of my house. One of the new ones started looking rough and I chalked it up to newly planted. Well it went down fast and made me panic. I treated all 4 with Bayer insect disease and mite control and then with a fungicide. The main tree in question is still green on bottom. It looks thin because I did remove some of the dead limbs. Worried whatever it has the one to the right of it is getting because it is showing signs of browning. Looking for advice on how to save them and accurately diagnose the problem? I’m not over watering.
  21. I thought all that was sorted out, hostages returned weeks ago, I know they have cause Trumpy promised all hell breaking loose if they weren't and no hell has broken loose yet.
  22. Thank you. I will look that up. Appreciate your time.
  23. I have a 16 gun cabinet, as per Norwegian regulations if it is over 150kg it doesn’t need to be bolted down, Shotguns, Centre and Rimfire rifles are stored in there with various accessories and ammo. I have a smaller laptop safe fitted in my bedroom that holds the paperwork, bolts and the keys for the big cabinet.
  24. Cheers for finding this one out YourNameHere - taken a couple of smaller trees out the river this winter so handy to know I was mostly on the right track. Learning points for The Boys will pulleys and more knots.

  26. Good luck As a relative young 'un, it's an absolute wake up call to see stuff like that as a reminder that we are not invincible
  27. I’ve got a family friend (18) who’s just left school and is looking for a firm who would give him a chance he’s done some climbing and enjoyed it just looking to get him employed, I’ve called up a few firms but no one seems to be taking on !?! Cheers
