  2. Polytunnel a jungle. Didn’t stake well enough. Just put a few in at the last possible moment and hoped. Hope is not a strategy. IMG_5871.MOV
  3. Dumper, Ah, the site at the outfarm is good soil on top of basalt rock, like the well is cut into the living rock, right from ground level down, but our homeplace is on rank moss/ pure peat, with blue/ grey clay beneath. Cheers

  8. It has been fairly clear this time around that -given the same security knowledge Biden had, and he had before- his view of the world and the US is at odds with what is happening in reality. Things like recently the 'crime wave' in Washington where a week later the National Guard were litter picking are a good example of reality not matching what is in his head. Someone else is passing on a world view to him. It is also well known that he never actually reads any briefs in the first place... the world outside the Whitehouse isn't given in bare facts, but is narrated by whose turn it is to translate facts to him. The forces behind him arn't mysterious and shadows, Vance is a big force in persuading him and behind Vance are the likes of Thiel. Makes sense though that Vance shapes the current administration if he is tipped to lead the next. You're right though, not a mysterious conspiracy but in plain sight that he is being manipulated from behind. I've often referred to the 'emperors new clothes'.. which is what I see happening.
  9. I never tried any other saws, didn’t try this 1. I just buy stuff. it’s on a 6t machine. used it today around the yard cutting back some overhang. Just amazing sitting cutting and lifting limbs knowing how much time and effort it saves.
  10. Tell us what you do with trees now.
  11. Powertoolworld out of stock prices are mad, I saw a 185mm circ saw for 999 the other day. Came into stock and price went down to about 200 quid.
  12. Fungus appeared this year on twin stem sycamore tree. Growing out of top of old cut wound. Given left hand stem on picture is leaning at appropriate 20 degrees at base is this a problem it terms of the tree becoming unsafe. Tree is approximately 25m tall.
  13. same here, a bit easier than vinyl but still an actual thing you own

  20. I had a similar case with an old apple tree that looked half-gone after a bad winter. Pruning back the dead wood and giving it a season with mulch, compost tea, and slow-release organic feed really helped bring it back. Also worth checking for root rot or girdling roots. These trees are tougher than they look once stress is managed right.

  22. A center punch, just like this one
  23. I did my first full-fat, name-on-the-door job today. Had a climber in. I bored the life out of him telling him to take it easy, take time, be safe, constantly check himself for tiredness/complacency etc. You know what. I'm going to keep being boring. It's only gardening. Nobody needs to die.
  24. Thanks checked carb and all looks good. Surprised it ran with such low compression.
  25. I like the safety features but a bladed power tool should be respected. If your putting your hands or fingers in a blade with it running, what do you expect to happen? If you rely on the glove, one day you will finish a job, take it off then notice a cut you missed and do it without the glove, and your fingers are gone. When I've let other climbers use my secatuers and told them to respect it, turn it off between cuts or any time they are moving around, only one does. The others thought they knew best, they are accidents waiting to happen, so I wont let them use it any more.
  26. There is no comparison - green climber all day long! Robocut are great machines for the price if you’re mostly doing grass and light bramble day to day however if you want something to do grass, scrub & small diameter saplings it’s the green climber. The green climber are a premium machine and will cost more if they go wrong but the output should far outweigh that.
  27. Witington side and no qualifications yet just a few years experiance mate
