Trump promised to cut illegal immigration and he has. Half the worlds poor were streaming across the southern border. To constantly criticize Trump and not try to look for any positives is just mush. Even Trump's tariffs I can see where he's coming from. Changing away from cheap labour in foreign countries is ambitious, but not impossible. The UK is the same - we used to be shipbiulders for the world - then people discovered you could teach Philipinos to do it for less. All the imported cars on UK roads and mobile phones made in asia. To my mind its so important to develop and protect home grown industries that people should be made to accept we pay more for it. Sometimes even our own navy ships have been built abroad for the sake of saving. A big nuclear power station goes up and we can't do it ourselves. Trump isn't as bad as all the utter shite thats lead to our decline (over the last 100 years). We shouldn't need EDF to put up a nuclear powerstation. Nuclear engineering should be a GCSE at gunpoint

Morning, Im looking to bulk buy a large quantity of oak milled boards (40+ boards with ongoing supply) with 1 or 2 live edges. They need to be seasoned and between 300-1000mm wide. I'm not worried about length as i'll be cutting them down but ideally over 1m long. Width wants to be 30-40mm thick. Id also purchase any walnut if people have some available. Id be glad to hear from anyone who has timber to offer, or contacts that could help. Photos to give an idea of what i'm looking for.

Is it even the right throatplate they've sent out ? We've had that before with a different manufacturer . Or they could of got the stove that hot its been warped so the plate doesn't fit or won't fit .

Yes absolutely; cut them down to a little over size before kilning. Expect some end splitting and cupping. Make sure everything has extra thickness and length so you can machine it to exact size when doing the build.
