Morning guys, I’ve got the lurgie! 1 of the lads had it last week and it gradually floored him. It’s jumped onto me now, sore throat yesterday and coughing and snot this morning. Digger and robo on my own today so hopefully the fresh air or warm cab will help. As far as the mahogany comment is concerned, genuine mahogany is Swietenia macrophylla, still the most desirable and arguably the only proper mahogany but there are other members of the mahogany family that are similar and passed off as mahogany. But further, other timbers such as African mahogany, Khaya sp. are sold as mahogany when they really are not. Going further timbers such as Sapele and Utile or often sold as mahogany substitutes. As for spalting, you just need to turn your back and Alder will spalt.
