Fair range of products on their stand, seemed busy on the twice I walked by!

Not enough people know about Lysander Spooner btw. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Letter_Mail_Company

One massive danger is service of legal proceedings. There are timescales that start when a form is posted, not received. With a long enough postal delay, you could get sued and lose by default (by not replying) without ever knowing about it. Perhaps state business should be delivered by state postmen.

Apart from Amazon, I only tend to get bank statements through the post - usually all within the first week of the month. All digital otherwise, very rare to get an actual letter

Royal mail have really let us down lately. They 'lost' a large amount of parcels over the Christmas period. They have let our customers down and it will cost us a couple of grand at the least.
-
I get mail whenever something has my name and address on it, 7 days a week. always been reliable.

Yes, I agree. It's been gradually running down for years. What we're seeing is a step change since Christmas though. Never had at least two weeks with no mail. Royal Mail is now owned by a Czech billionaire I think.

the other week i was wating for a delivery from royal mail when i checked on their tracker it stated it had been delivered on Saturday; it did not get delivered till Monday. I think royal mail are fiddling the figures.

I use the active tab 3. You can pick them up refurbished for less than £200 and does the job. As said previously though heavy rain can be an issue. Battery lasts about 6 hours but I just use a power bank to top up between jobs or at lunch time, it’s quicker that the car charger. You could put the power bank in your pocket and connect to the tablet while using to top up as you work. That is why I bought it but have never had to use that way as it charges quick. I think the active 5 lasts longer though. It’s worth getting the rugged case for about £25 it it has a strap to hang round your neck so frees your hands up when needed and it has a holder for the stylus, the tablet itself doesn’t. The GPS isn’t great, about the same as a phone. 2-4m. You can get the archer 4 which is sub metre accuracy with the expansion pack but it’s mega expensive.

With all the kerfuffle over digital ID not even one little mention of this. Government drops plans for mandatory digital ID to work in UK WWW.BBC.CO.UK There will still be digital checks on those starting a new job, but people will not need to hold a digital ID.

Needs casting up badly but I don't shovel very well, fence also had to stay .Needs a digger as a lot of rabbit damage but too steep for me

My area is certainly less often than in times past, but still a few times a week. I believe it is down to reduced amount of post and therefore it is no longer economical to deliver six times a week but the Universal Service Obligation means they have to by law. In my opinion all we need is a strong government who amend the USO to three days a week. Instead of course we have successive governments doing nothing and so we have this farce where everyone knows they no longer deliver six days a week, but officially they do.

Aled Hughes started following Mk1 550xp Crank Bearings
-
Due to rebuild a Mk1 550xp and read somewhere that the crank bearings were upgraded from the original nylon caged oneswhich failed. Anyone with any info and if possible part numbers please? thanks
-
Not a bad price, dependant on mog spec, but considering how much 3.5 ton trucks are and towable chippers .
-
So, we had some post today. The first delivery this year. Really. I didn't hear that they'd gone down to only fortnightly deliveries. Is it just the WM and Devon where the postal service has gone down the pan, or is this happening in other places as well?

Looking at few videos on YT it seemed to stall crosscutting in the bigger stuff unless nursed. You can get a bigger battery that makes it "like a 60cc saw" .

Sorry for my absence Mr Lateron, mum wrote a note but the dog ate it. I've been too tired now it's back to early getting up time again, it's my body clock's fault.

Why don’t you put a bigger blade on it to make it more powerful?
