  2. 100% 👍 The Dunblane tragedy should have never happened if current at the time legislation had been enforced correctly. As for US 🤷‍♂️ As I say never mind the guns what mindset could do such a thing. But just look at London a few days ago yet another drive by random shooting and we have sone of the most stringent gun control legislation in the world.

  4. Also from the gov.uk website: Motor vehicles and trailers You need a licence for a motor vehicle and trailer combination if: -the motor vehicle and the trailer(s) are plated and the total of their gross plated weights is more than 3,500 kg -the total unladen weight of the vehicle and trailer combination is more than 1,525 kg -You do not need an operator’s licence if your trailer’s unladen weight is less than 1,020 kg and you only carry your own goods. Does this mean that anyone in a Defender or Transit GVW 3500kg towing an Ifor tipper GVW 3500kg which of course car license holders are allowed to do needs to be operating from a yard with an O license?
  5. Doing domestic Arb using my own 7.5T, do I need a standard national license or would I be ok with the restricted license? gov.uk says standard covers own goods and other peoples, restricted are only own goods. I imagine if I take my staff and kit to a job, remove wood chip and logs back to my yard then I'd be ok on restricted? If I took the wood chip and logs to someone else's yard or was picking up or dropping off for example a mewp I'd hired in for a day would that make any difference? And would it make any difference if it was an employee or contractor driving my vehicle if we got checked?
  6. Its pretty rare is it not that a licensed gun owner of any sort goes shit crazy? Look to the unlicensed and the don't give a f#ck mindset, then try to round em up. Same sort of policing goes with motor crimes. The licensed and legal guys are the easy targets to control with minimal effort
  7. The mass shooting we see too often nowadays is indeed a sad state of affairs but the question that’s always avoided by the “ gun control lobby” is why ? Firearms controls were virtually nonexistent not that long ago in the USA and the mass shooting phenomenon was yet to be an issue. What is it about the world we live in today that drives someone to commit such an act Solve that puzzle and you are a long way to sorting the issue. My own views as a FAC/ Shotgun and in Scotland Air Weapon certificate holder is that it’s the person should be licensed not so much the firearm , but that’s neither here nor there. Regards the USA and its approach well I admire the guys who defend the 2nd amendment, history has been shown here and in other countries that any form of control is never enough for those in power. Anyway what I wouldn’t do is then try and swing a mass shooting into some form of dig based upon my own political bias. Leaving the incredibly difficult subject of Mass shootings behind and back to Trump as I stated the other day if and it’s a big if Trump has been making unsubstantiated, malicious and false claims then he should indeed be held accountable for them. Let’s face it, who likes a man spouting BS and lies 🤷‍♂️

  15. Got to love the USA. In 2024 days between mass shootings, maximum achieved so far: 13 UK mass shootings since 2000: 19, which the US had achieved by January 17th this year alone. Always a good argument for gun controls and never a good argument to relax them. However it looks like Donald Trumps conviction has barred him from owning guns for 1 year... so watch this space if he gets elected that the requirements for gun ownership will change and 'white collar' crimes such as fraud won't count. Sorry, went all political there, don't know what came over me then.
