    Enter field through gate below cattle grid - call for lock code. Down track a short way there is a cleared area to the left between track & fence, leave woodchips / logs there.

    Horfield B Allotment

    Horfield B allotment drop off site for woodchips and logs. There is a gate that can be accessed from Downend Rd. The gate is locked so please do get in touch if you would like to drop off your woodchips/logs. There is a dedicated area for the woodchip / logs to be dropped off in the car park. It is frequently used by allotment holders so please do get in touch if you would like to drop of your logs and woodchips.

    Please drop off at far end of drive, away from Dyffryn Road. Deposit on the side of the drive. Please do not block drive. Limited turning area once on drive, probably best to reverse into drive. Three drop off sites at end of drive shown by red colour X's on attached images. No need to call ahead. Looking for - woodchip for mulching pathways, flower borders, chicken coop. Logs for firewood. Small trees and branches that can be split and used for fencing. Free fresh eggs often available, please call at the house. We would be grateful for woodchips to cover their mud kitchen and woodwork area. We also wanted to be able to have bark paths so the kids know exactly where to go.

  20. We need lots of woodchips to line pathways between raised beds. We also can accept a moderate number of logs and often looking for logs both as a way to create bug hotels and grow mushrooms. Please call ahead of time to arrange a dropoff. We can generally accept last minute deliveries, but there needs to be someone to open the gate. We are a community garden that attempts to use permaculture practices to create a unique space for gardening, relaxing and food growing. The front of the garden features raised beds planted with vegetables, herbs and flowers while the back garden is a deliberately left wild to foster increased biodiversity in the area. A newly planted hedgerow of edible plants encircles the entire garden.
