    Garden needing mulching :)

We are making a garden. Mulch is our friend . Please leave chips/material on the front driveway but call first to arrange a time. thank you Rebecca & Ben

I'm looking for wood chips from winter pruning and/or chipped crown reductions (mix of leaves and wood) to fuel my developing permaculture garden. Depending on what I receive I'll either use directly as mulch or else compost it for a time. Happy for materials to be emptied onto driveway with my consent!
  3. We need lots of woodchips to line pathways between raised beds. We also can accept a moderate number of logs and often looking for logs both as a way to create bug hotels and grow mushrooms. Please call ahead of time to arrange a dropoff. We can generally accept last minute deliveries, but there needs to be someone to open the gate. We are a community garden that attempts to use permaculture practices to create a unique space for gardening, relaxing and food growing. The front of the garden features raised beds planted with vegetables, herbs and flowers while the back garden is a deliberately left wild to foster increased biodiversity in the area. A newly planted hedgerow of edible plants encircles the entire garden.

Hi, if you have a load of wood chips that I can use to mulch my flowerbeds I'd really apriciate them. You can tip them on my drive, ideally on a tarp I would lay out if I am home. Feel free to give me a call.
  5. Something a bit different! I've been to a clients this morning to look at a Lime tree that lies on the border of the property. The client wants to fence around the tree but the post will be directly in the roots of the tree within centimetres of the stem. Has anyone come across a fencing system that will allow the fence to go around the tree without digging posts in?

Wanted: hardwood chips for chicken coop and garden paths.
  13. Hi All, I am working on shared garden project in Edinburgh. It is a tenement garden and I have had zero £ contribution. I came across this site when googling free chippings, the shop bought is crazy expensive. I was hoping there is a local tree surgeon that would be happy to off load some chippings or logs to cover an old area that's not suitable for planting? Thanks in advance. Darren

    Freeman’s Garden

This is a semi-detached house with a fairly large front garden at the end of a modern estate. We require bark chippings for helping to clear areas of weeds and for use in flower beds and borders. Relatively small quantities required I’d imagine but if we have room and they can be delivered without causing a barrier to getting our car in/out our property we will accept larger amounts. Also currently happy to accept logs that can be used as borders for flower beds/grass/paths. I’m no expert so have no idea what sort of materials are suitable for above purposes I’m afraid! But not fussy on size/colour of chips as long as suitable for general garden use. Logs shouldn't be too long as main use will be for flower bed borders. Don’t have means to move large logs nor cut them (easily). Thank you.
