costs for everyone have shot up. I will probably close down the yards here soon, the cost to run a loader and then time to load artics with chip just isn’t worth it. Reducing for the sake of reducing because they feel pruning will help the tree with out a valid reason then yes … I’m quite convince we have saved many trees from total collapse when reducing for the right reasons though… some times I think it can accelerate decline if done badly .. basically by folk who can’t be bothered to put the effort in and cut everything out to make it an easy climb or won’t go further for what ever reason.

The 'green' credentials of battery power are not good at the consumer end but you don't see all the damage done on mining the raw elements for the batteries. Bad for the planet and the individuals involved in the work. Hopefully some newer tech, battery or otherwise, will come along and save the day.
