  1. Past hour
  2. Strange that his hands bruise like those of a man in his late 70's, yet his ear seemed to regenerate like Wolverine.
  3. Good morning Arbtalkers 😊 Nice sunny start to the day here 😎 Lunch out then the F1 to watch..
  4. Yes there was something odd about that one the more you look at the videos from other angles.
  5. 1 note. Solo activated.
  6. Darren McGarvey 'Many of those who’ve spent years deriding others as “snowflakes” fail to see how triggered they now are. They don’t recognise who benefits from their outrage — tech platforms, cynical political operators, grifting influencers and unhinged corners of legacy media. Escaping their notice entirely is how their chronic emotional dysregulation makes them vulnerable to the very manipulations they believe themselves immune from. In this activated state, real threats remain unseen while imagined ones are magnified.'
  7. Likewise a wall full of CDs and DVDs, all my cars have CD players, house has CD player, and I even found my old discman the other week (along with the converter to plug into a car tape player for the first car before I upgraded to a JVC stereo in the days that you could).
  8. As good a 3cx as you can afford.
  9. +1 for the auld backhoe. Much more versatile for a long term project.
  10. Got to go wheeled jcb/massey/cat etc digs clears loads forklift and dare I say cherry picker, harder to master than 360 but far more use not expensive and with a large plot and a few hours practice not hard to drive
  11. Today
  12. Got a mate who built his own house, bought an old backhoe/jcb unit very cheap. Dug the footings, moved materials about. Did the lot.
  13. If they are going to be loading trucks with it regularly, then they need something on the larger end of the scale. In my experiance diggers are a bit like chippers in that when you double the size, you trebble the efficiency. I wouldnt be too concerned about resale value in the fact that any money lost off sets the cost of hire or hiring in. Personally I would look at a 8 to 14 tonner. The haulage costs will be the same and the "hour toll" will be lower on the bigger machine.
  14. Steady four today Wordle 1,534 4/6* ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  15. Morning all, An interesting night. Neighbour rang me to say there were cattle, including a bull, on the lane outside his house. They had broken out from a field down the lane belonging to someone else. Yes, his phone was turned off at 4am. We managed to herd them into neighbour’s field then through into mine, where they still are. Yes there is a public footpath through my field where the bull is currently. Owner now aware of situation. Breakfast and crossword now.
  16. I agree, vinyl is undoubtedly cooler. I was just a little too late though. The tangible interaction thing is very true also. Like packet cigarettes vs. rollies. Back in the day I'd far rather have a rollie, the act of making it was half the pleasure..
  17. Good Morning All clear. Nothing to see here! Have fun
  18. If you’re using quality timber why risk using anything form temu with it?
  19. It’s possible the one on the left is aesculus carnea, that has red flowers, leaves seem darker etc. Interesting it seems to have suffered less from the leaf miner.
  20. As said above, horse chestnut leaf miner, usually non fatal for trees but doesn't look great. Clearing away this years leaves when they drop can help to suppress it happening next year. The leaf miner "over-winters" in leaf litter. Also, as Matt pointed out, your ash tree is on its way out.

  26. Good Morning.
