  2. I'm considering to get a small chipper, the style with a gx420 15hp engine. They look reasonably capable - if a pain to feed. There are some small ones with hydrualic feed but the price is a bit too much. Idea being on small jobs to chip into customers garden, save a lot of brash dragging/tipping. Rotatech has you sorted. MORE... Theres also the disc chipper sort. They appear to have a smaller hopper blade and I assume are worse for tangled hedge cuttings/ivy. The drum sort appear to have a 14" wide blade so should gobble ivy with ease? 3. Jansen are based in Germany, not sure exactly where they are built though. We had an existing customer wishing to purchase that exact machine but we had to order two to hit the min order requirement. So hence we've a spare coming in.

  9. All that is missing is the wording "in the pub",,, "a while back in the pub, a friend of a friend told me...."
  10. Craziness. If indeed that's true, then it's a massive failure in parenting, not schooling. The same as people complaining about children not being able to talk during Covid because they couldn't go to school. Speech and toilet training should be the bare minimum for parental responsibilities IMO.
  11. Friend of my missus is a teacher, had a case before christmas of kids claiming to be various animals defecating in classrooms and hallways because there were no litter trays provided. some of them are refusing to engage with teachers and other pupils, and just make various animal noises when spoken to.some are making scratching noises in lessons and generally disrupting the entire classroom. parents were informed, it's ongoing.
  12. OK. You wouldn’t need your own insurance for this though.
  13. Had a look at the video last night, the only mentions online about his banana in Nutella are from ....(drum roll please)..... The Scottish Family Party. If it was a real thing I would have expected there to be news reports from real newspaper, chat on forums. So for now, I'd be calling the video BS.... However, JonsonD When your kids had this 'contamination' taught to them, based on your experience, did you take your kids out of school, move them to a different school, home educate them? Did you have a word with the teachers there with your preference that they stop teaching your kids? and what was the response to either? As far as I can tell, none of my kids or their friends have been 'contaminated' with lessons telling them about bananas in Nutella, or how to be trans. Is this then just a Reform urban myth based on a very small part truth?
  14. All I can think is that AI is autistic
  15. Wasn't it also that they couldn't get the classic boxy shape to pass modern standards around crumple zones and hitting pedestrians? I can believe this because I have been in two minor accidents in a landrover (passenger not driver, icy roads etc) where the other car was a right off and the landrover didn't have a scratch.

  17. I know the TD5 was the start of the ECU era - I had one until recently, and the 2.4 TDCi Defender was arguably the best 'real' Defender of the lot. You could argue that LR did carry on and do a "luxury version of the Defender", it's the L663 "new Defender". Any new version of the original Defender concept would have had to be completely re-engineered anyway for compliance reasons. If LR had tried to make the true spiritual successor to the original Defender it would have ended up being a lot like the Grenadier, except with a lot more wrong with it including multiple water leaks, reliability issues, and appalling after sales service. Worst of all it would have had the god-awful Ingenium engine. It would also have cost at least as much as a Grenadier and probably more. I stand by my assertion that the reason that LR didn't replace the classic Defender with a newer better classic Defender is because they didn't want to, the margins and money simply don't exist in that market. They could have built one, they have the know-how and experience, they simply changed direction. It is equally pointless to say that they should have done so because the company became more successful and delivered a better return to its owners by not doing so.
