  1. I just hire machines in for the time being as I'm fairly new to being self employed and just getting established now but when I do decide to buy my equipment I think I'll be going with yanmar as a lot of machinery is powered by yanmar and they say there bulletproof but the hire machines I use mainly are bobcat e10 and takeuchi tb228 and are both absolutley excellent I've used jcb and there a pile of utter ? in my experience didn't have the power to track up a lil bank ? so I'll be avoiding them for sure. Jack
  2. I think they tried to fix something that wasn't broken tbh it's like you say there cabs look a lot better and it's a reliable brand so stick to what you know I've spoke to a few people about the 210R and there supposed to be rubbish / sluggish compared to other brands? Jack
  3. Is that the 216? Heard there nowhere near as powerful as the 016's but there a bonny machine though Jack
  4. Even mixed has gone right down at peak 12 month ago it was £178 a tonne now its about £73.81 local scrappy is stockpiling / bailing it waiting for the price to go back up too many folk at it atm so little demand Jack
  5. Any excavator is better than a shovel though ? to me if your using a 1.5 tonner there's that odd job where you wish for that little bit more power so a 2.7 has got the necessary power and then any machine worthwhile buying after that will be a 8 tonner since the hassle is already there of getting a bigger machine shifted that's the ideal setup for my buisness anyway ☺ Jack
  6. I have the same ish opinion whereas I think a 1.5tonner is a waste of money as micro will go on the back of a transit tipper so no faffing about with trailers and if you do need to tow a trailer a 2.7 tonner isn't much wider than a 1.5 with 3x the digging force so micro = narrow access 2.7 tonner = grunt / digging force Jack
  7. UK done well 16 points in the final ? ? at least it's finished for another 12 month now ? ? ? Jack
  8. I was just being nosey and next thing I'm sat here watching the results ? UK 13 points whoop whoop ? ? I think it's who shows the most cleavidge wins ? Jack
  9. Does anyone else think Madonna live is absolutley awful and ear bleeding material Jack
  10. Hi again Just looked at the link and the 2 machines have got the wrong images the voi 10-2 image is actually the voi 12-2 so it's £17,208 for the machine and here's the quote I got Jack
  11. Just been looking at the email and finance is 5% apr on top so that is the actual quote just for the machine Jack
  12. Just tried to screenshot the quote but my phones decided to be a funny f****r but yeah total include vat £18,312 plus documentation fees that's for the one with servo controls not the joysticks in front mind I know the sv08 is really cheap though Jack
  13. The yanmar sv12-2A looks a good machine but £19k including vat and the bobcat e10 is £16k including vat They both look really good as does the kobelco sk10 sr Jack
  14. That's originally what I posted but then realised he said the wall has to stay the same so just put about expansion joints but yeah I'd say that'll be the best course of action Jack
  15. Could you not remove the wall 1m either side and rubuild with expansion joints just to allow movement? Jack
  16. Have a look at the hornet and see Jason Gardener on YouTube for a review he is a gardener he has used one for years with hedge trimming clippings brambles and all other stuff and only about £600 Jack
  17. ? ? ? It's all part of Arbtalk no one has made any innaproporiate comments it's just the banter on here ? Jack
  18. My main work is groundwork drainage and landscaping but I'm wanting to get into land clearances and forestry if possible so I got a quote on a jcb 8026 for 25k but them 3cx are roughly same price second hand so it's which would do the job better tbh I hate hiring machinery as its dead money Jack
  19. Have fun and let it make a good living what's best to buy first been looking at the 3cx and also the 8026 what's the best option in your personal opinion Jack
  20. Have you looked at skarper chippers or hornet? Jack
  21. That's a bonny machine is it the 3cx with joystick controls on the armrest?
  22. The best way to decide which is best for you would be to watch reviews on both and make your mind up they both have ups and downs to them fixed ones are really awkward but really strong and good grip where as hydraulic are really handy to use but don't have as much grip due to pressure ect is 1.2ton big enough or is is just scrub and brash you use it for? Jack
