  1. That's got me back on the road ordered 3+1 extra heavy duty springs so it'll carry more ? Jack
  2. Delivery of sand is about 78+vat but couldn't be delivered until next week as there wagon was off the road and a new spring was £30 from the scrap yard and took me 2 hours to fit Jack
  3. Put 2 ton of sand on the truck today realised it wasn't sitting right looked and boom spring had snapped ?? Jack
  4. So since it isn't locked in I can just lift the soldiers take the bed of sand out and and re lay them on the sub-base with a bed of concrete ehh? Cheers for the pic Jack
  5. Once I've got the sets laid and cuts placed in and all sanded and whacked that's when I put a concrete lip right around always put at least 18" wide by 12" high and it doesn't seem to shift I appreciate you telling me what's actually wrong rather than saying your works shit then blocking me but I work how I've been taught that's the only way I know roadbuilding we put the kerbs in first but driveways ect just lay & lock them then put the concrete around the perimeter Jack
  6. They sell on the market quickly enough so can't be all that bad Jack
  7. Also that 1st picture was taken recently and when I laid the sets 3 years ago that crack wasn't in the concrete path Jack
  8. Well I worked on new build sites for a big company for 2 years putting driveways in and flagging footpaths and road building using that method that's the way I was shown and it has always worked I am grateful for the positive criticism but there is also more than one way to skin a cat Jack
  9. If folk don't like me I'd rather they say tbh I'm no mind reader if they don't like the way I pay folk tough luck Jack
  10. That's the blocks in the photo on the truck and trailer
  11. Thanks @Woodworks I thought the same that's why I posted but hey ho Jack
  12. That's the same reject blocks 3 year down the line haven't moved snapped or anything just a mis match of colour Jack
  13. I pay £30 a pack straight from the factory if I go to Travis Perkins the exact same blocks are £148 + vat per packet
  14. Risking lives? The truck went no faster than 30mph on back roads with Amber light and hazards on so avoiding busy highways and what's pikey about that gear? It's a transit tipper and a indespention plant trailer ?
  15. That's polite ehh no better vocabulary than that
  16. Just seen the thread and thought I'd contribute the reg ect is hidden like
  17. Went all the back roads on the way home to avoid the cops and took the time and drove sensible it was something like 80 mile trip and got that much on needed to do it in the one load
  18. All in all it weighed in just less than 9 ton pulled perfect up 17% in clines and brakes worked well on 20% slopes cost me £40 in diesel the company were asking 300+vat to deliver the blocks only cost £30 per pack and the trailer is 2700 but it pulled well the tyres are old but still hold air well
  19. I wouldn't like to pay your fuel bill NYC USA to Essex UK? Wouldn't be cheap Jack
  20. If you look on powertoolworld the dux60 is £199.99 & on F R Jones @Jonesie the stihl km 56 is something like £186 and all the makita attachments are nearly the same price as stihl and personally I'd rather have petrol over batteries due to working in different weather condition plus the cold damages batteries aswell Jack
  21. You could buy a stihl km56 unit for roughly the same price as the unit and the attachments are the same sort of price and if you don't use it much run it on aspen 2? ? They'll be a lot more torque than the 36v tool aswell Jack
  22. Could you not put a nut over the hole where screw is and tac weld it to it then just unscrew it like that? Jack
