  1. Just get a bit of 3/8" rubber mat cut to size and bolt it on or use carpet just some form of padding to prevent direct contact as it can chip the blocks or crack them or like some say it doesn't bother them i don't fancy taking the risk of direct contact and having to lift sets and replace them. Jack
  2. Rather use rubber pad or put half inch of sand over top and sweep the rest off once whacked both work Jack
  3. Tbh I've just Googled hammer and sickle as I didn't ever notice it or even know what it means and all it says is soviet communism so still clueless tbf and yeah the rigging one opened my eyes when he cut the huge limb an it just tapped him rather than crush him ? Jack
  4. Have you not seen Human on YouTube? Just like what your describing and the best thing with Corey is any mistakes he makes he shows doesn't edit them out Jack
  5. What's your budget because Roy Wood Transits in Wokingham have some unregistered LDV v80 tippers with tool lockers for £16k Jack
  6. @tim361
  7. It might be worthwhile speaking to shavey on here he's got a thread somewhere on saws sorry to hear about the situation Jack
  8. Mk7 transit chassis are really well priced and easy to come across and for a body brittip make really good ones ? Jack
  9. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ? It's like I've said I'd do the job i quoted no more no less but everyone is different if they said cut the hedge then fair enough but according to the original post connifer was specified so that's what I'd of cut Jack
  10. Let's just agree to disagree that the statement that was made was un/acceptable Jack
  11. If you use better vocabulary it wouldn't be as bad thick is a horrible way to describe someone think before type and all of these unnecessary comments could've been prevented. What's the difference making a comment regarding capacity to religion or race? its all discrimination and like I said its a open forum so people can look and browse through it and we're supposed to be professionals do you not do work for schools or supported living accommodations because speaking like that would get you kicked off site we live in a equal and diverse universe now. Jack
  12. No bother vesp sounds like a plan ? Jack
  13. Calling people thick? If you had a member of family or friend with a limited capacity or even none would you appreciate someone going round calling people thick? That statement of his could of been worded more appropriately and I wouldn't of reacted it is a open forum even something like undereducated sounds better than "thick" Jack
  14. OK vesp make sure you keep them thumbs hard ? absolute clown Jack
  15. Is there any need to call people thick? I bet if there was a Arbtalk meet up I'm pretty sure you'd be thick with the amount of folk on here who'd show you some respect and possibly a few contusions aswell you've got no respect for anyone! you hide behind a keyboard giving folk grief on here always watching YouTube with a apparent bad back? If you don't want people's honest answers stop asking questions it's as simple as that!! Jack
  16. Cba commenting after this if they write specifically what I ask for then job done and if I then change my mind I pay for the extra time not them Jack
  17. And I pay them for their time all of it not some of it
  18. You've literally just pointed about "Drain Technicians" there are scam artists in every trade Jack
  19. I worked on drains for over 18 month no where near as long as eggs and even I know the expense of cameras monitors ect have you tried drain surveying? It's a time consuming Pita and then the reports would you know how to cut the different patches or how to mix resins and what pressure to run the packers at? I think youve got a cheek saying people go out ripping folk off yes it does happen but you also need to consider overheads and running costs everyone is different so don't point fingers unless you've got facts to put in place ? Jack
  20. Tbh you have asked our opinions we have gave them any your answer is wright and all ours are wrong all of us successful buisness owners know that there is nothing more expensive than time if they want a extra 5 mins charge for it if you go to a solicitor and they charge £200 pH and I'm there 3hr 4 mins will they charge me £600 or £800 I can guarantee its the £800 we are NOT a charity and its folk who give freebies away who make this dying industry even harder any Tom dick or Harry can cut grass and say chuck some horse shite down but it's the professionals who advise how to properly maintain a manicured lawn and different soil types and even different blends of grass try buying that experience from B&Q or argos!!! Does my absolute F*****g head in when customers expect things to be done for free "oh well since your here you couldn't just" no I can't I can give you a price that's it Jack
  21. The key word there you used is "Assumed"! what were to happen if you "assumed" their rose bushes needed clipped back and you done it but the customer wasn't happy? I know if you have a (good) reputation it would be dragged through the sewers NEVER "assume" anything get it in black or white or it isn't getting done!! You call them scumbags cowboys ect to me there a team of lads who quoted a job done a good job by your admission and because they never chucked a freebie in all of a sudden there cowboys If the customer isn't happy tell them to phone the contractor who carried out the work and tell them not everyone else bar them!!! Jack
  22. If they asked for the conny to be cut then only cut the conny you can't go around giving freebies away these little 5 minute jobs all add up and eats away at profit ? do you think the customer would say since you've been here a little while longer I'll pay you for the extra time? I'm highly doubtful! Jack
  23. I was as Keswick garden machinery a few weeks ago and I couldn't get any aspen 2 either ? Jack
  24. Have you not considered a stand on mower? Can also fold the platform up and use is as a walkbehind so ideal like a scag or toro or even hustler? Jack
  25. They don't look a bad price either at £150 body only they seem to weigh quite a bit at 4.5kg without batteries though suppose each machine has its own application though Jack
