  1. They are a good saw but it doesn’t get used so may aswell make room and put money in my pocket that’s how I see it
  2. cheered moose it Might be sold on here got 2 people interested need more pics today of it Jack
  3. I don’t need saws as big as that tbh there isn’t enough work to justify keeping it only been used on one job then never used again so time to get rid Jack
  4. Got a husqvarna 395 xp with new husky bar and chain the saw is brand new hasn’t had barely any use maybe 2 tanks of fuel whats it worth? Jack
  5. Got a little Iseki TU320 compact tractor with a pto and hydraulics if of any interest Jack
  6. I’ve got a little Iseki TU320 20hp compact tractor with full cab & 1.5 ton tipper trailer for sale £4500 or best offer Jack
  7. It’s the way I was tought by my grandfather when i was younger (he was a stone mason) so it has always worked for me i always dig out for a 6” base of type 1” - 1 1/2” of dry mix then whatever the slab is but once I’ve dug out I’ll compact the soil put weed control in then 2 x 3” layers of type1 compacted never had it wash out yet but it could happen as you say Jack
  8. The main thing I like is you get discount codes nearly everyday so you get double the credits for the same price a few people who put me onto bark do well out of it that’s why I started with it and get the odd job Jack
  9. I didn’t know about that staining thank you showing me I use dry mix just for the simple fact I can screed a good size area then lay then keep going like that I used to brush dry mix 2-1 for the pointing but I bought a tub of pave-tuff £30 all in and it just looks so much fresher plus the empty tubs are really handy for storing bits so haven’t bothered going back to dry mix Jack
  10. Hi all Just out of curiosity how do you lay your slabs? I always lay mine on a dry 4-1 mix but a lot of people use spots as well what are the advantages / disadvantages? Jack
  11. Eventually it’s all going to get wrapped white then as you say a logo etc he’s getting annoyed with it now he keeps seeing more and more scratches so it’ll end up wrapped shortly ?? what line of work are you doing? Jack
  12. He’s fussy he’s just bought the ally planking from John Adam supplies and it cost a fortune so he doesn’t want to cover them yet ?? plus if you have too many stickers on the truck folk think your a traveller and they shy away little but effective works perfect ?? Jack
  13. That’s my pals truck the stickers cost him £80 for both sides and the bonnet done there nothing special but they have got him loads of work just because it looks better the truck stickered up with the chipper stickered just looks so much better to people than a plain white transit plus it’s a one off cost and 24/7 advertising Jack
  14. The other thing I have found work is having vehicles stickered up there have been a few occasions I have been to Tesco picking some shopping up and the phone has rang someone has seen my truck in the car park and it reminded them they need such and such doing I’ve had a few sensible jobs like that as well plus as your working people approach you Jack
  15. That’s the gamble you take though I always targeted posh estates etc and never came any further on the first time I used this company they put leaflets in a little village just local to me I’d never heard of ended up spending £500 but got a fencing job and planting a Laurel hedge the job took 2 days and left me with £7200 ish profit another time he posted them in a council estate I was there for a day made £3500 ish profit so it is a gamble but it just goes to show how handy they can be Jack
  16. It’s a company local to me it covers most of Cumbria it is a good thing what he does the company is called letterbox smart it isn’t cheap but well worth it I used to pay lads £40 a stack of 500 but the phone never rang now i use this company the work is consistent Jack
  17. I use flyers I pay a company £470 + VAT for 10,000 printed and GPS tracked work always seems to phone in for the first 3-4 weeks then another batch get put out I’ve tried Facebook etc and seemed to be full of dreamers and time wasters i also use bark.com Jack
  18. It is what it is Mark it’s a old battered machine but it does what it says on the tin and as it breaks we fix it the joys of old tools I suppose Jack
  19. It’s as rough as a badgers arse needs the safety bar on the hopper mended as it doesn’t work it needs stripped right down and shot blasted painted and needs new side panels as well i thought it was a fortune for what it is deffo not worth 10k + it’s still 10 years old Jack
  20. My pal has just got a 2010 Timberwolf 150 DHB tow behind not sure on hours clock doesn’t work it’s a really good machine the only problem he has had with it is he was chipping and the rotor fins had shattered and came through the discharge shoot leaving a few dints on it’s way out and the 3 belts that run the rotor had shot off and apart from the chassis being snapped when he got it it’s a brilliant machine to use runs like a dream and starts of the key first time every time the other advantage is parts are on the shelf nearly everywhere you look I think he paid £7895 about 3 month ago makes workload so much easier but you do need a good chip box and ideally a lid don’t forget to cover the headboard as well otherwise say goodbye to your back window Jack
  21. I've got the km 85/94/131 never had a problem with either got both the old and new heads and the newer one is best for trimming the kombi system is a perfect all around machine they arent the lightest but very useful ive used the hl94 aswell and thought there was more than enough power and was well balanced just couldnt justify that much money in one machine when a kombi does the same job but more at the same time but each one of us has our own personal preference Jack
  22. What about a kombi system stihl km94 with 145 degree 60cm cut and hs45 24" and you'll have change aswell Jack
  23. Sounds like fuel pump wants re-timed or replaced or leak in one off the fuel lines / leaking injector seal Jack
