  1. Hmm. Box blight or the Asian box moth? Or do you consider them the same thing? Some years ago people were complaining about box blight, some time later they realised it was the asian box moth. I have been spraying the box for the last two seasons to keep the numbers or all of the caterpillars away. Have you had any luck getting rid of the caterpillars?
  2. Yes to that. Although a nice walk in the wind and rain at this time of year can be quite refreshing. 👍
  3. generally 55-60mm is good, depends what you want to sell it for or do with it to be fair. That's my two pennies worth. Others might say balls. 👍
  4. Yep farmer had them all done last week.
  5. S’more farmland/hedgerow cuties.
  6. Nice job are you putting in stainless steel rods to fix it?
  7. Its definitely been advertised a lot. I was thinking about the makita option for pruning. Looks like it could be quite handy, obviously only for small stuff.
  8. Cheers mate. To be fair this is the first year I’ve seen them. Thought they were a myth before this summer.
  9. I know. I mean what does it even really mean. But by golly. The Chestnuts will be coming down soon and we can go on about roasting chestnuts on an open fire. 🥵
  10. Nice set up and big back garden!
  11. I was wondering the same about the two whites.
  12. Yes mate good shout, Juvenille Cormorant. It kept coming to the pond everyday for a couple of weeks, haven't seen it recently though. I guess it got bored of the fish in there.
  13. Nights are drawing in. First day of autumn here leaves coming down and a coolness in the air. Can't wait for winter. Last week was hottest it has been all year.
  14. A few recents a mix of good and bad.
  15. Thanks. Only just saw this post for some reason. Yes have been able to get the camera out a bit each day and luck will have it. 👍
  16. Had thought butterfly season was over, but seemingly not quite. a few from last week. Clouded yellow was a first for me. Rarely seen here.
  17. Love the deep colours, was that early morning?
  18. Very lucky to have that selection of butterflies. Looks like Queen of Spain Fritillary, Swallowtail, Purple Emperor or White Admiral. Where in the world are they?
