  1. Always looks a bit surreal! great though
  2. I think they all get together for winter. Same here in and around the woods over my way. Busy on the roads at night this time of year.
  3. It was hoping you had some food I would say. Probably wanting some corn or something.
  4. Thought I would try. David has a better answer by the looks.
  5. Would it be the cracked cap bracket? Phellinus robiniae
  6. Realised I’d more encounters with the dragons and damsels, hadn’t posted for a while.
  7. Got the 881 out for milling. First time in some months. It all went pleasantly smooth. 4” oak slabs for some posts in the future possibly. It was an old log but wood was pretty good.
  8. Hmm. Box blight or the Asian box moth? Or do you consider them the same thing? Some years ago people were complaining about box blight, some time later they realised it was the asian box moth. I have been spraying the box for the last two seasons to keep the numbers or all of the caterpillars away. Have you had any luck getting rid of the caterpillars?
  9. Yes to that. Although a nice walk in the wind and rain at this time of year can be quite refreshing. 👍
  10. generally 55-60mm is good, depends what you want to sell it for or do with it to be fair. That's my two pennies worth. Others might say balls. 👍
  11. Yep farmer had them all done last week.
  12. S’more farmland/hedgerow cuties.
  13. Nice job are you putting in stainless steel rods to fix it?
  14. Its definitely been advertised a lot. I was thinking about the makita option for pruning. Looks like it could be quite handy, obviously only for small stuff.
  15. Cheers mate. To be fair this is the first year I’ve seen them. Thought they were a myth before this summer.
