  1. Monkeybusiness posted this below and the hp model i linked to is more than up to the job,Windows is a great operating system and the only reason they get slow is people fill them up with crap and never update them,Got 2 HP models and run like a dream ? Mac books and ipads are ok if you can get used to the operating systems but never as user friendly as windows for people who are not great with using these type of devices. Does anyone with more knowledge than me have any recommendations? It’s basically a work computer that needs to run office, be able to browse the internet etc etc.
  2. Guys i have a 1.5 ton yanmar 2007 sat in the yard doing nothing. It only has just over 2000 hrs on it and i bought it from 2 years old,Its rigged up with 2 types of attachments as well as the normal buckets,Has a grapple which i used in my sawmill and handles 30 inch wide logs 5m long like nothing. Also have a custom made grapple log splitter,Looking to maybe hire it out or sell so anyone interested please pm me. Can upload some photos and has a trailer,South wales based Its a cab with radio and dry ?
  3. I use a laptop for 20 hours a week or more if in the office,I can tell you that a lenovo or acer are horrible to use for the simple reason they have a square edge around the outer edges of the key boards which just cut into your hands and arms unlike the hp models which are rounded and very comfortable to use

  9. Nothing wrong with cash payments and how much you declare does not need to be every penny you earn for gods sake,Just use common sense man ?Say you do a take down and then sell on the processed logs (firewood) for cash why would you declare that ?? ,You have been paid to take down a tree which is invoiced through the books,Timber/logs is a bonus as customer could have wanted for own use,Your own time cutting up and sell for cash.Young family so school dinners.uniforms/trips out which all require cash at some point.

  24. Sorry just to add when milling the outer edges into inch boards i never move the blade up or down. Just rip through move the cut board and rip again and just keep repeating process until finished. Great waney edge boards so maximise profits (firewood) ton bags for all the loose stuff £40 a bag which pays for the next load of uncut logs or helps towards cost ??
