  1. Has DS tree services had any news back since his original post?
  2. Yeah i thought 460 was a size up. Got bits of stuff all over, be glad to get it in to some kind of organised order.
  3. Not 100% sure if i have a genuine gasket set kicking around for it or not, cant remember [emoji849][emoji848] defo got a 460 gasket set. Be a ghs kit if not. Used a wartec chain myself once, chain was really savage and jumped all over, barely got in to a good cut, i didnt gel with it at all so i binned it. Bought a couple of rotatech chains to try and found them ok, but just use stihl chains now all time, unless i’m delving in to a hedge or a stump or sumthing i know will cause issue, so then i’ll use rotatechs. Bought myself a ultrasonic cleaner a bit back on advice of spud, so will get then up and running soon as i’ve got mancave finished.
  4. I only gave £60 for it, the bloke said it ran but was knackered, i didnt try bartering, i just handed the cash over. I have a brand new genuine handle and tank for when i start the swap over and some new genuine covers. Was gona go with a meteor cylinder kit if needed, but will see when it comes in bits, not sure if its a 10mm or 12mm. All a learning curve [emoji6][emoji106]
  5. Thanks for the advice/heads up above WYK, got a 044 to go through myself and was thinking of going down the Meteor route as compression is pretty much non existent, but will know more when i open her up. [emoji106]
  6. I’ll send you some pictures tomoz when i’m back in work and hopefully it’ll shed some light for ya [emoji106]
  7. You better tie that cord tight, ya dont want them coming off in the pool! [emoji38]
  8. Have you compared against a Meteor Cylinder?
  9. Why do you have ya saws in your kitchen? And why are they by your hoover? And stop stalking my hen cabin! Your a strange bod you are!
  10. Interesting, Rob D’s website specs the 163vxlgd025 bar for 024 models which is .325 .063 and not .325 .050 yet most/all other websites spec either will fit.
  11. You want a 3003 mount if you go for a genuine stihl one.
  12. No, i’d be same! You got any other bars about ya?
  13. Bizarre as your bars part number does cross ref as correct for a 024
  14. Your magnesium cover is the right one too, just checked on part number from your pic by zooming in [emoji106]
  15. Shitty news, sorry to hear. Maybe a drop in the ocean but i will keep my eyes open on local sites etc, hope you get em back or the culprits get their hands removed!
  16. You go steady now.... you’ve been down this road before! [emoji6]
  17. Look at wedgey’s pics of his 260 (effectively same saw) the shanks are prob 5-6 mm and yours are only showing 2-3mm from what i can see in your pics? Not saying thats your issue but was just a observation. Its a while since i had mine in bits, remember the side plate and small screw holding it on and seem to remember a small cover like in the picture below, associated with the adjuster, but dont think it would affect your clamping issue [emoji848] others may be able to advise. Like i say, be easier when i’m staring at it thursday ?[emoji39]
  18. I’m with wedgebanger on the studs being fit wrong way round. I have a 024AV wood boss but its at work and not back in till thursday, if your still stuck i can take in bits and picture for you what i have [emoji106] Your bar should be fine as all checks out on oregon page as being the right one for your saw. The plastic cover is off a homeowner saw (typically orange handled, i.e 021,023,025,029,039 etc) your 024 is classed as a pro saw (white handle) and should have the magnesium case fitted. Let me know if you need pics [emoji106]
  19. You want me to leave the vacuum for ya when i pick up the kids! [emoji6]
  20. Can av em on free loan for a few hours, no charge! Give me chance to av a whip round in the back with the vacuum... bloody feathers and straw everywhere!
  21. Studs wound fully down in to crankcase?
  22. Snap, renovated full house, built extension etc, re roof yada yada..... no request on survey or anything. Then put proposal in to build garage and had to provide photo evidence that there were no traces of bats etc. ?‍♂️ ludicrous!
  23. That could be an awesome man cave! [emoji108]?
  24. I was hoping i had no signs of em when i peeled the roof off.... fortunately i didnt, but had kinda convinced myself i would do cos theyve been outside front of house for a long while now. Been a bloody nightmare i guess if they had though!
  25. We chip and burn tyres at work to part fuel the kilns, been doing it for about 5yrs now. You wont stop tyres being dumped as it will always involve a paper exercise or a charge to do it legit, and most are too lazy to cooperate.
