  8. Remove the bowl and then main jet/emulsion tube, clean it “thoroughly” (and i say thoroughly cos had to do it twice on my honda/bomag whacker plate) what sometimes appears clean really isn’t clean enough. Ensure all gaskets etc are in tact too, clean and check as you go, preparation/cleanliness is the key.

Like what you buy off a forecourt at your local garage..... labelled up as “kiln dried” less than 20% moisture, blah blah blah. Yet said garage has left it sat outside in the rain for 3 days..... is it still classed as “kiln dried” errr yes, according to the label, but in reality it might as well be treated as green wood all over again!

    Stihl 025

If your adamant on keeping the 025 and feel you want to keep it in the land on the living.... then (people/spud please dont shoot me for this) aside from a genuine crankcase then a machinetec/farmertec housing maybe the way to go for you. You could buy genuine of course but that will be decided by you only against cost etc.

Indeed mucker, little hard hitting with a hint of humour too at the same time. Kinda highlights the importance of being aware and carful at the same time also [emoji106]
