  1. Take a look at “Lenox protool lube” its water soluble, biodegradable and non toxic. Can be used for metal/aluminium cutting, milling, reaming, drilling and tapping, and can be used with wood and plastics, we used to get 5L tubs of it at work and would last ages, but we only used it for metal bandsaw which has a recirculating pump so you never lost a lot overall, and cutting/drilling/tapping on occasion with a manual squirty bottle. We’ve gone on to millers now, but i dont rate it! Shite. But its cheap so it wins in the managements eyes!!! [emoji849][emoji849]
  2. I was thinking more of a blade type as opposed to a lopper jaw, if you know what i mean ? or am i on the wrong path with my thinkings?
  3. You got a pic [emoji6]
  4. Has the rubber deteriorated to and from? There may be no leaks as such, but as in gravity is doing its job when cold until you first stop the saw at which point everything has become warm/hot, then upon trying to start again its sucking the pipe flat?
  5. Alright all, i’m on the hunt for some manual hedge / shrub shears, dont want anything too long overall if i can help it, got a few bits around the garden that need lopping back occasionally, certainly got no more than 12mm thick stems. Majority of stuff i get away with using my Stihl HSA26 shrub shears, but for some of the thicker stems i’m going to have to do it by hand. Dont mind spending within reason but at same time dont want to spend mega amounts for only occasional use. Theres so much choice out there that i’m pretty baffled by em all, i’m a big believer in the do it / buy it once do it right scenario, but dont want to buy the wrong thing which would end up me spending twice. Any heads up would be much appreciated.
  6. Blistering sunshine here, 32 degrees i was told earlier! I’ve cracked a can of cloudy apple cider open on the strength of it. Gona sit out for a bit and think about which a/c system would work best for me in my poorly built bungalow ?‍♂️[emoji16]

  18. I know that feeling! Or when someone “borrows” some thing! [emoji849] They have the lazer cut tips on em now which is meant to help grip/torque. I have the impact headed ones too that have the 1/4” drive built in so you can use a ratchet with them, helped me out loads on jobs which my hands just cant get enough grip on!

  25. 24.4v - 25.7v is typically what i see when i plug on at 6 weekly service, our trucks are all 2+ yrs old now, oldest being 4yrs old now, occasionally i see them up at 28v, but that same truck 6 weeks later can show 25v. I also test each battery on its own, both under load (lights on) and in static state (nothing on, not even ignition) long as they are 11v or above i leave alone. Dont seem to create any issues. If below 11v then i replace, but always as a pair, cos a bad battery can pull the other one down, and as our trucks do nights out nationwide i dont want a callout or breakdown as a result of only changing one. The one good battery i take off i switch out for use on our shunters or forklift etc cos theyre only pottering round yard so not as critical.
