  1. They’d be the barcode
  2. Its not fords engine, its a PSA developed engine. The add-ons and auxiliaries, electronics etc all play a part on the engines performances etc so oil types/grades can differ between brands/manufacturers.
  3. I’m not in a new build but did knock the hell out of my house (1970 build bungalow) and insulated it to the hilt using superquilt on underside of roof etc, fully reroofed and replastered throughout, fresh 7”x2” timbers forming upstairs flooring etc, all fibre/wool filled/insulated in floors and studdings, so very thermal efficient for its build style/type, trying to mimic new regs etc. Got a 5kw burner installed (woodburner) but also have alternative grate to accommodate multi-fuel burning. Its enough for me, just light it on a night when its cold...... just for that cosy/homely feeling more than owt [emoji106]
  4. If you wana burn through the night in to the following morning to then continue fuelling the fire again then your only hope is using coal/briquettes, so your in to a multifuel stove. If you just want a snug warm evening in and some aesthetics of a night then woodburning would be fine. ?‍♂️

  7. How old your Bordeaux Don? Love em, just a shame they tend to have a short life, really loyal dogs [emoji106]
  8. The sleepers i got were 8’ long and 8”x4” thick, when installing them i dug out the floor to find my levels, but then decided to dig another 8” out on top of that, i then refilled the 8” with clean limestone for the bottom sleepers to sit on, and covered the sides too partially, as to hopefully stop them standing in/holding water (quite heavy clay ground where i am, pics to follow) and then like i say i lined the inside of them top to bottom which will defo be aiding in their survival. Think i paid £9 a sleeper back when i did them, but collected them myself.
  9. I batch everything in twos when i freeze stuff, and being a single man now [emoji4] it just means i have to kinda eat a similar version of what i’ve took out twice a week. I hate waste, so dont mind if i eat exactly the same stuff two days on the bounce either but i do try to switch it a little if i can.
  10. Where abouts are you? I put raised beds in, been in since 2016 and are fine as of yet, just look weathered obviously. I lined all the inside of mine though with old aluminium long vehicle boards that we fit to our trailers at work. We tend to fit new plates at every m.o.t so had an abundance of them. That was before i built my rockery in the middle This is a good twelve months later after i did rockery etc, you can see the sleepers have started to weather, get that silvering effect.
  11. Tonights food intake..... steak with leftover beetroot, some mushroom peppercorn sauce again and some mighty fine macsween haggis [emoji4]
  12. Swallowed some of that on the night time ? the bud was a can left over from xmas givings that i found at back of the ale cupboard.

  15. Yeah its been in local news round us, i believe there is a breeding pair in the old quarry by stocks reservoir but not seen em myself. We have a peregrine falcon pair in quarry at work, been there a good 4 or 5 years now i rekon.
  16. Not my picture, a local wagon driver took it from the on-slip road to M6 at Brockholes Nature Reserve (junction 31) Osprey, did well to get a shot so up close really, stunning bird though!
  17. Spuds were good, reduced in local shop, 40p [emoji16] beetroot was crap compared to my dads home grown, steak was from lidl[emoji108]and peppercorn sauce was a cheat, asda granuals and boiling water added to mushrooms cooked in butter [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] still enjoyed it like [emoji4]
  18. So.... 4am get up, breakfast brew at 8am with a couple of mini pork pies. Finished work at 2:30pm went and put a temporary lamb shelter up at a mates field, with this bad wind on the way it’ll be brutal for the newborns, one born only a few hours ago too. 4:30pm on my way home and i’m chuffing hank marvin...... so dug this lot out the fridge [emoji6] 10 mins later, made a bit too much of the mushroom peppercorn sauce but hey ho, and i don’t do waste so on it went [emoji16]

Bit fiddly but job done and looks tidy [emoji106] On to flagging my back garden area next. Rather enjoying this weather [emoji6][emoji106]
