  1. 25k Gareth. I see why you don't want anyone to have a pay rise. You're trying to bring them down to your earnings. Seriously though, that is a government tactic. Race to the bottom, I think they call it. Sponsored by the likes of yourself
  2. This is true, partly, but we all know how that works, 'I'll give you £300 to cut my hedge', 'no' 'How about a grand?' 'Go on then'!
  3. Doesn't really solve the problem though. Infact it is part of the problem, significant numbers are leaving for different employment. A decent pay rise would go some way to solving it. I don't think we should be having a go at the ones staying and fighting for this and ultimately the NHS
  4. Doug, see if Bruce will do a shift on traffic management with you
  5. Hi everyone I've had my insurance with arbrisk for several years now. I've reduced my work. I'm only going out 2 days a week max. I've approached arbrisk to see if they do a reduced premium for part time, max 20 hrs a week. They don't. Does anyone have anything similar, or know if any one offers part time cover? Thanks
  6. Started something mark. I'm back row second right. Forest fans may recognise Ian woan, front row, also Alan reeves (Wimbledon) his brother Dave, not on photo Sheffield Wednesday. My career went down hill from there!
  7. Agree with Mick. Anyone that wants to criticise refs should have a go themselves. And anyone that thinks Kane can't hit a barn door should try taking a penalty at any level of football, never mind a world Cup quarter
  8. Usual over reactions from people that rarely watch football and have never played. Ref missed a couple of fouls on sakka in the first half, but to say it was the worst referee performance ever! Get yourself down to a Liverpool and District Sunday league game this morning, you'll see some crackers
  9. Any one with bikes will know it as a cush drive. Absorbs the shock from changes in speed
  10. Ms180, ms260, ms362, ms661, ms200t and echo 2511. Yes a 180, and it gets used. It's just so light for snedding small stuff. Made up with the little echo. Makes a 200t feel very heavy now, though. Ms261 is a good choice 👍
  11. Unless you have willfully damaged them I don't think you should be paying. Look well used, maybe a bit of metal fatigue? Also, that looks like a tricky weld
  12. Weld and grind works. You'll have to put a weekend aside, well, that's how long it took me to get rollers out, couple of beads on both edges, grind and put it all back together. Worth it though. Make a note of the edge angles, because you tend to lose them when the bead is on. I ground one first, before beading the rest and used that as the guide
  13. I had a young lad from reece heath, when the college closed for covid. It was all official, quite hard work, had quite a bit of paperwork, covid risk assessments as well as all the usual. Most work took longer than normal, stopping to explain, no corner cutting etc. Very first day he was with us, we had to cross a stream to get to site. Rickety old bridge, I slipped and dropped the ms200 into it! Turned it into an educational exercise 'stripping down a chainsaw'
  14. Would lone working be another issue?
  15. Don't know how things work these days, but I'd be tempted to make them a silly offer for it. It was 25 yrs ago, I had a car stolen. Ins paid out £400.00. The car turned up about a month later, with panel damage, but driveable. I bought it back off the insurance Co for £30. Didn't repair it, just ran it into the ground. Things might be different these days, but worth an ask
  16. Gutted. You've got your shirt on
  17. Much more entertaining, and just as educational
  18. He doesn't want to take too much off. He's got to take it away on his bike.
  19. They don't have the right to climb on any part of the tree in your property. That may restrict the amount of work they can do.
  20. Ah. I didn't just imagine it then. There was a cherry tree involved somewhere!
  21. Not that one, the other one, or maybe I just imagined it
  22. What about the cherry tree?😆

Agree with you there. Means testing. But I think it will be blanket offer. Easier and quicker to get out. I don't think anything is out yet, but there will some government help coming. There has to be, for some

No, but a secure plan put in place 10 or 15 years ago simply isn't enough for some people. Hopefully, there's more people like you, that will reject any government assistance, leaving a bit more for those that need the help

If you retired, say, 15 years ago, were you supposed to have predicted brexit, covid, putins 'military exercise' and the impending doom
