  1. Just me, or have several of us lost our avatars? I mean the generic ones, not the user uploaded ones. Has there been a software update or something? You might have to clear your browser cache to see what I mean.
  2. David Gilmour - Comfortably Numb Live in Pompeii 2016
  3. Yep, The HRX I can understand. I meant the same hydro unit fitted HRH. I've repaired hundreds of HRD boxes with the dog clutch, once they start jumping there only one way that's going to go. Expensive,
  4. Not sure it's as heavy as the Weibang to be honest, they weigh in very heavy for the size of them in comparison. Weight isn't everything though, just because they're heavy doesn't make them better. Plus I've had to reinforce my workbench. lol.. I'm not a fan. I would still say the extra dosh for the Honda would worth while. My only thoughts with the Honda is I wish they'd fit their hydro gearbox to it, and get rid of that orrible dog clutch which they've been running from day one.
  5. Does sound like it's been tipped over. Any signs of oil in the air filter? It won't be Valve seats, or valve face causing it though, that's not a thing. Worn Valve guides or Stems will leak a bit of oil, but not usually enough to cause problems like this.
  6. Probably come out of the same factory anyway, the MS 180 is a Chinese made saw as well. Think their Zama Carb factory is in China too if I remember correctly.
  7. Remove the air filter and just check that the upper butterfly on the carb isn't stuck in the open position. I've had this on several of these. Not saying that's definitely the problem, but something to check.
  8. Check it hasn't sheared the flywheel key, it has been known.
  9. Who put the 8.5hp on it, you? They usually have a 7hp on the Osprey.
  10. Who's got one of the new hayter Harrier 48 Model 475A, 48 Pro 479A, Or 56: 575A, 56 Pro 579A? Just wondering what you think of them compared to the older models.
  11. lol.. You should check out some of his other video's, I just find his reaction hilarious.
  12. Well, funny you should say that. I was just watching this to get some ideas.
  13. I have noticed when you reach a certain age it becomes more difficult to see the spark.
  14. It comes as a primer pump assembly for that model saw. The main dealer should have known that. Part number: 4130 350 6200
  15. Four years old and hardly any usage is probably one of the worst scenarios to be honest. You really need to get the saw, or at least the carb serviced. Metering Diaphragm has probably gone hard.
  16. Get it checked out, sounds pretty sick, and not just at full throttle by the sound of it. How old is the fuel? Don't fiddle with it before taking it to the dealer if you're talking warranty, or they could throw it out. (The warranty that is).
  17. Is that a four horse one? Think I have an old B&S horizontal shaft 4hp kicking around here somewhere.
  18. You shouldn't need one if the carb and rest of the engine is in good order. Check those parts outlined by GardenKit above, that's a pretty good place to start.
  19. Not the exact same model, but should give you some clues.
  20. Did you ever find an answer to this problem?
  21. Faulty or stuck breather valve I'm guessing. Take bar and chain off and see if it's coming out of the valve.
  22. Don't really understand what you're saying / asking. Are you asking if someone has already modified the mufflers on those saws? Not sure anyone would be able to help without more info, pics etc. Same applies to the sprocket, or are you saying you fitted a 3/8 sprocket to it?
  23. Not from me they don't. "Quite heavy" is a slight understatement, and getting replacement cables for some models is a mare, (or should I say getting the correct cables is). They changed the design of some of them (48V), and even though only one or two years old you can't get the original cables, and the new replacements don't fit properly, adjuster in the wrong place, and no adjustment left. I absolutely hate the bloody things, lol..
  24. You shouldn't have to do this, but contact Stihl directly (as already advised above) and they will give the service dealer a shake up for you.
  25. You didn't specify what saw it was for, so just grabbed a random parts list. As you know, the screw on caps use those type "Hooks" And the crappy locking bayonet type caps just use a tether clipped inside the tank.
