  1. Not quite sure where in the west country you are but that price is well over the average 2 man team for here. (Plymouth) for some small companies that would be nearly two days working to earn that. Good for you if you’re getting that.
  2. Just when you think you’ve seen it all [emoji57]
  3. Have used a 620sx . What a saw that is if I were in the market for a 60cc saw I would have one without a doubt over anything else in the 60cc range at the moment. I’ve used it for weeks on end clear felling and has been brilliant. Also you don’t need a laptop to fix it .
  4. Nice, hope it all goes well for you.
  5. Is there a church near by? If so could be in a conservation area.
  6. Not necessary if there is only a small amount of decay finding decent wood might only be a case of taking a couple of feet off. If the tree is that bad on the previous points then I would definitely leave them otherwise I’m just helping the decay spread quicker.
  7. I think depending on how the previous pollard points look depends on where you can take it, if they look goosed I would take it back to decent wood, but I know many who wouldn’t.
  8. Very lucky there mick, it goes to show though that you questioned it before it happened. I always think if I’ve thought about it what can I do to change it or stop something from happening.Glad is didn’t stove your truck in.
  9. sunset over Sydney CBD.
  10. That’s great bud. I’m over in Sydney at the moment activating our visas will be moving over here permanently once we sell our house back in the uk. I’m loving the set ups here in and around Sydney, big trucks and big chippers [emoji56][emoji1360]
  11. Hey Kim, how’s the lorry and saw head going haven’t seen any pics for a while
  12. Would struggle to get that for a 2 man team for 2 days down here [emoji52]
  13. Haha sounds like me and you need to change more?
  14. Prices always depend on area. (And overheads)
  15. Hahahaha I’m only messing. You see it every where in every trade these days
  16. Pic 10, is a a classic Groundsman shot [emoji390]
  17. Check out his spikes [emoji29]
  18. It’s always frustrating when you get a good lad on board , but I guess it’s setting that president from the go and sticking to it. Think we have all been there , best of luck with it.
  19. Tell him you can pick him up in the morning but your quoting jobs in the evening so he’s welcome to use the scooter to get home, then bring it back in the morning. Just test his commitment to you if it’s not really there then find another. But I guess now you have started doing all this for him you’ve made a bit of a rod for your own back.
  20. Hahahaha no zigzag, bigger climbs a distill/ French prusik with a pulley but that as technical as I’ve got. Used a friends zigzag set a few years back but just found it a hindrance as it was on a load of reductions and without a direct line I found it a struggle. I think I need to just stop being so stubborn and just stick at it, I guess sometimes change can be good. I remember watching one of regs videos back along and he was saying it had helped his body etc.
  21. Same here mick, still use a pursik [emoji17]. After 19yrs no wonder why my body has taken a beating [emoji30]
  22. MEWPs make great conductors
  23. I think if materials are involved with fencing, etc then taking deposits is fair enough but for Tree work I don’t see why anyone would take a deposit. You already have the kit to do the job. There are a couple of firms down errr that will take cash deposit. Wrong IMO .
  24. He can probably afford it anyway, just an inconvenience for him and his busy work schedule. He must of got a contractor in to do the work? If so what’s happening to them? But still glad to see a result as the public still don’t take TPO/Conservation areas serious enough what’s a few more weeks of waiting for permission. It’s the I want in done yesterday attitude for morons like him.
  25. Arborisk are great I’ve been with them for years. Sorry to hear about all this Mark , fk ing nightmare mate , hope it all gets sorted ASAP bud.
