  1. My high sides and up rated springs when a full load is on plus towing my chipper (TW125) looks normal. I only did the springs to give the truck an easier life.
  2. Mine is the extra cab but as I said in the op I’ve taken the 5 leaf off and added the 7 so can hold much more (unofficially)
  3. Just had a quick look and found this
  4. Forgot to say im based in plymouth
  5. Once again, complete scum. £550 cash to butcher an Apple tree then 6k to get rid of the woodchip, which actually according to there computer that weighs the waste should of been 15k but as she only had £1200 cash left he left it at that, which I think she was lucky to keep after they were going through her kitchen. Just absolute scum of the earth
  6. You’ve always been a true gent mark you really have but after hearing these rumours of your climber, climbing with a single rope I must admit I’m on the fence now [emoji6]
  7. 09 plate, 99k on the clock, tipper conversion done five years ago when I purchased the truck, it’s an extra cab, cambelt was done at 90k, up rated leaf springs, to 7 rather than the standard 5, serviced and mot done a few weeks back. £8800. ono, please pm for any more information thanks.
  8. Yep, I’m one of them, had jap trucks for last 10yrs now and even they aren’t made like they used to be.
  9. You really think a farmer is gonna go and buy one? Why would he need 4g-5g on board computer.Does a farmer need a hybrid 4x4 ? The whole thing has been wrapped also, so it easier to get rid of scratches. If Mr Giles dents a panel not only does he have to get a new panel but then has to get it wrapped, just seems pointless and rather expensive. I’m sure with all it technology and other features it will sell to the school run club but only because of its name and history and the weight s defender badge carries. I could carry on ranting about this expensive junk that they have produced but it’s just my opinion.
  10. Hahahaha good to hear your still breathing, it always handy[emoji6]. Yeah I’m good thanks mate, next week is my last week of work in this country then we’re off to start over in Aus at the beginning of October, so can’t wait [emoji41]
  11. You get some nice jobs Ian, where are you based?
  12. Danny sounds a right nutter, climbing on one line whatever next [emoji43]
  13. Check out midland road springs, I up rated mine to a 7 leaf as the standard 5 weren’t up to much
  14. My hilux extra cab will be for sale in the next couple of weeks, back all converted with ally sides and barn doors on the back. Pm if you want more details.
  15. Some things just can’t be taught
  16. I’m going to be selling my 09 hilux, tipper by the end of the month if anyone is interested . It’s a extra cab with the back converted , up rated springs and mileage is 95k. Will be removing my sign writing in the next few weeks.
  17. Sooner is always better, the stress it causes you which rubs off at home and in the work place isn’t worth it
  18. It’s not the first time you’ve moaned about him, if it the same pot smoking guy. Should of got rid along time ago. I know it’s never a good time to lose a guy but sooner you do the sooner you can get on with all your work.
  19. As a subby, you might be better both working for companies solo, you could cover more ground and make contacts quicker. Once in with a few companies you can then perhaps offer the two man team or use each other’s contacts to drum up more work. I’m based in plymouth and haven’t seen a market for two subbys and a tracked chipper, unless you’re gonna sub to the bigger firms like, Hi-Line ,Glendale , and the railway gangs. Good luck. Also Kev is based just over the bridge so he might be a useful contact.
  20. Have a friend in Kettering that owns the bowling alley, hes after some quotes to clear around the grounds and names or numbers would be appreciated. Thanks.
